Could Mario Balotelli be on the move back to the Premier League this summer?

The odds seem to suggest it is a real possibility, with West Ham United being backed into favorites to offer the maverick striker a route back to England.

Madcap forward Balotelli is looking for a new club this summer after leaving Marseille at the end of last season when his contract expired at the Stade Velodrome.

Balotelli actually impressed during his brief stint at Marseille, scoring eight goals in 12 appearances for the club, but he is now set to continue his nomadic career with another move this summer.

Balotelli Transfer Rumour

Following a report by The Telegraph, most of the recent money has come for West Ham to be Balotelli's next destination and they are as short as 11/10 (+110) in some places to sign the Italian, while the move is best priced 7/2 (+350) with William Hill.

West Ham are in the market for striking reinforcements this summer after selling Marko Arnautovic to China and releasing Andy Carroll this summer, and free agent Balotelli could be the big name to excite to Hammers fans.

Hills have West Ham as joint-favorites along with any Turkish club and Serie A side Parma at 7/2 (+350) to be Balotelli's next port of call in his colourful career.

Brescia, who are run by former Leeds owner Massimo Cellino, come next in the betting at 4/1 (+400) and the controversial pair could be the perfect combination next season following last year’s successful promotion back to Serie A.

Outside Options For Balotelli

Fiorentina, who endured a disappointing season last term, are a 9/2 (+450) shot to bring Balotelli to the Artemio Franchi this summer.

Marseille are available at 6/1 (+600) with William Hill to offer Balotelli a return to the south of France should the player reconsider and decide to stay in Ligue 1.

A move to the ever-popular Major League Soccer is rated at 8/1 (+800) if Balotelli decides to follow the likes of Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Wayne Rooney to America.

A switch to a cash-rich club in China is a 10/1 (+1000) shot and it would be a move that could appeal to Balotelli and his agent at this stage of his career.

Wherever "Super Mario" ends up this summer, one thing is for sure it won't be dull with the Italian international around.
