There hasn't been a transfer window in recent years without speculation over Neymar's future and the world's most expensive player could be on the move away from Paris Saint Germain this summer.

The French club sent shockwaves through the world of soccer in 2017 when they broke the transfer record to sign Neymar from Barcelona for €222m ($248m), but a recent report from ESPN suggests that PSG would consider selling the Brazilian this summer.

PSG owner Nasser Al-Khelaifi fuelled speculation over Neymar's future by revealing the club will no longer tolerate superstar attitudes from their biggest players and Neymar's time in the French capital has been blighted by off-field distractions.

It has been suggested that Neymar – who initially claimed to have joined PSG to boost his chances of winning the Ballon d’Or – is ready to leave France for a new challenge and is holding out for a return to Barcelona.

A move of this scale is always hard to get over the line due to the magnitude of everything that is involved, financially, and Betfair rate Neymar likely to stay at PSG this summer at 4/6 (-150).

Barcelona are the clear favourites at 11/8 (+138) to sign Neymar this summer if the Brazilian does leave France, with Barca talisman Lionel Messi understood to have given the green light to the club to bring Neymar back to the Nou Camp.

Neymar – who has been ruled out of this summer’s Copa America through injury – enjoyed four successful seasons at Barcelona prior to his move to PSG, forming a formidable attacking line-up alongside Messi and Luis Suarez, helping the club win two La Liga titles and one Champions League.

Real Madrid, who are long-term admirers of Neymar even when he was with Barcelona, are ranked as a 9/1 (+900) shot with Betfair to make the Brazilian their latest ‘Galactico’ signing.

Manchester City and Manchester United are probably the two only clubs in the Premier League with the financial muscle to afford a move for Neymar, but any deal to either club looks unlikely.
