Which Premier League club has the smallest fanbase in the country? Bookies.com surveyed 1,000 UK football fans and asked which Premier League club they support, then ranked all 20 clubs from smallest fanbase to largest to find the country's least popular teams for the 2026/27 season.

Fulham, Bournemouth and Ipswich Town make up a clear bottom three, while Manchester United, Liverpool and Arsenal sit a long way clear at the opposite end of the table.

Which Premier League Club Has the Smallest Fanbase?

Fulham have the smallest fanbase in the Premier League, according to the survey, with just 5 of the 1,000 fans (0.5%) naming them as their club. Bournemouth (7 fans, 0.7%) and Ipswich Town (9 fans, 0.9%) complete a bottom three built almost entirely from clubs with more modest recent Premier League histories.

A smaller fanbase does not automatically mean a club is disliked, but it does mean fewer people actively support it, which by definition leaves a larger share of the country indifferent or opposed to that club.

On that logic, the nine clubs with fewer than 20 fans in the survey, Fulham, Bournemouth, Ipswich Town, Hull City, Brentford, Crystal Palace, Coventry City, Brighton & Hove Albion and Sunderland, represent the Premier League's least popular clubs by fanbase size alone.

How Big Is the Gap to the Premier League's Biggest Clubs?

The gap between the top and bottom of this ranking is stark. The ten smallest fanbases in the survey, Fulham through to Everton, combine for just 128 fans, fewer than Arsenal's 150 supporters on their own. Manchester United's fanbase alone, the largest in the survey at 188 fans (18.8%), is almost 38 times the size of Fulham's.

Manchester United, Liverpool and Arsenal occupy the same top three spots here as they do at the top of Bookies.com's Fandom Index, confirming that the country's three biggest fanbases remain the same whichever way the data is cut.

Everything else in the Premier League sits somewhere in between, with clubs like Newcastle United, Tottenham Hotspur and Chelsea forming a solid middle tier well clear of the bottom nine but still some distance behind the country's three giants.

Methodology

Bookies.com surveyed 1,000 UK based football fans and asked which Premier League club they support. Clubs are ranked by smallest fanbase first, on the logic that a smaller share of supporters implies a larger share of non-supporters. Free text answers were manually reviewed and grouped to account for spelling variants, abbreviations and nicknames.
