Just four days after losing the Champions League final Christian Eriksen has delivered more bad news for Tottenham fans by admitting he wants to leave for a new challenge, but where will the midfielder move to?

Real Madrid have been strongly linked with a move for the Danish playmaker for some time as they look to rebuild their squad after a difficult season and they are clear favourites at odds of 5/6 (-120) with Betfair to land Eriksen this summer.

Eriksen is entering the final year of his contract at Tottenham and now the player has indicated he would be open to a move away from the North London club it seems a parting of the ways is inevitable.

“I feel that I am at a stage of my career where I would like to try something new,” Eriksen told the Danish newspaper Ekstra Bladet, per The Guardian.

“I have the deepest respect for everything that is happening at Tottenham and it would not be something negative to stay. But I have also said that I would like to try something new.”

The 27-year-old's future could be amongst the transfer sagas of the summer with Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy a notoriously hard man to do a deal with.

Real's Spanish rivals Barcelona are available at 10/1 (+1000) to sign Eriksen during this summer's transfer window, but a new midfielder is not thought to be amongst Barca's top targets for next season.

Manchester United, who are a planning a major summer rebuild at Old Trafford, come next in the betting at 14/1 (+1400) as Eriksen would most certainly be an improvement on Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's current midfield options.

Big-spending Paris Saint Germain are a 20/1 (+2000) shot with Betfair to lure Eriksen across to France with any potential transfer fee being no object to the wealthy Parisians.

Italian champions Juventus have already convinced Aaron Ramsey to swap the Premier League for Serie A and they are 25/1 (+2500) to do the same with Eriksen.

Rank outsiders in the betting for Eriksen's services are Tottenham's London rivals Chelsea at 50/1 (+5000), but – as the price reflects – this move looks unlikely due to Chelsea's impending transfer ban.
