For the men, Carlos Alcaraz is the strong favorite at +175 in the latest U.S. Open odds at posted bet365. Djokovic is a close second at +225, with Jannik Sinner at +350. No other player is lower than +1000.

Similarly, on the women’s side, Gauff is No. 3 on the board but at a distant +750, behind Aryna Sabalenka (+250) and Iga Swiatek (+370).

Men’s U.S. Open Best Bets And Predictions

Sinner earned the No. 1 seed, ahead of Djokovic, who is ahead of Alcaraz. Online sportsbooks clearly disagree with that order, as Alcaraz of Spain is favored to win the entire event over Djokovic of Serbia and Sinner of Italy.

Alcaraz is a beast on surfaces that aren’t hard. While he’s won a whopping 89% of matches on grass, that number plummets to just 57% on the hard stuff. Novak holds a 4-3 edge on the still up-and-coming Alcaraz.

Sinner, on the other hand, is a hard-court player. While Novak just won the gold medal at the Olympics, Sinner is playing better overall tennis over the last six months. He has yet to get over the hump to win a major but has come too close just this year.

If we’re siding with a favorite, we’re going Sinner at +350.

Daniil Medvedev is a great dark horse pick at +1600. He won the 2021 U.S. Open and reached the semifinals of both Wimbledon and the Australian Open.

Women's U.S. Open Best Bets And Predictions

Swiatek won this tournament in 2022, Gauff in 2023, and Sabalenka took second last year. So it’s not a shocker that they’re the top three seeds this year and the three favorites at online sportsbooks.

Sabalenka of Belarus is the 2 seed behind Swiatek of Poland with Gauff, the top American, at No. 3.

While Sabalenka has a higher win percentage on hardcourt and won their matchup at the Aussie Open, Gauff’s overall strength of schedule, and overall head-to-head record Gauff gets the edge over Sabalenka.

But neither can expect to challenge the world’s No. 1 at the moment. Swiatek and Gauff have faced off 12 times, with Iga winning 11 of those in a rare showcase of dominance between two of the world’s top competitors. She also holds an 8-4 advantage over Sabalenka, though Sabalenka hammered her 6-3, 6-3 in the finals of the Cincinnati Open just one week ago.

In 2024, she’s 9-3 against Top 10 competition. Sabalenka is 5-4, Gauff is 3-5.

Iga Swiatek at +370 seems like a solid price.

For a massive darkhorse, Barbora Krejcikova at +5000 seems like a value pick. The two-time major winner, including this year’s Wimbledon, is ranked No. 8 in the world and is 2-2 all-time vs Swiatek and 1-0 vs. Gauff. If she can avoid Sabalenka, who has her number, she certainly has the mettle to advance, compete and win in the second week of the biggest tournaments.
