The New York Giants were one of the most disappointing teams in the NFL last season, going 3-14 in a truly dreadful year. The team also moved on from long-time starting QB Daniel Jones, marking the start of a true rebuild, and hitting a home-run in the NFL draft will help that.

The Giants finished tied for last place in the NFL with three wins but, due to tiebreakers, will pick third overall in the 2025 NFL Draft. That gives the Giants the chance to draft a potential star player, although they will have to wait for the Tennessee Titans and Cleveland Browns to make their picks first.

With the NFL Draft coming up soon, Bookies.com veteran oddsmaker Adam Thompson has put together hypothetical NFL odds for who the Giants might pick with their first pick in this year’s draft.

Top 2025 Candidates

🏈 Shedeur Sanders, QB, Colorado (+125)

Sanders, the son of NFL Hall of Famer Deion Sanders, is considered arguably the top QB prospect in the draft, aside from Cam Ward. Sanders is a terrific talent, and with the Giants badly needing a new QB to turn its franchise around, picking Sanders makes sense.

🏈 Travis Hunter, WR/CB, Colorado (+200)

Hunter is considered one of the most special talents in this year’s draft, given he is a two-way player who can play both wide receiver and cornerback. If he’s available at No. 3, the Giants may end up taking him as the best player available even though they need a QB more.

🏈 Abdul Carter, Edge, Penn St. (+500)

Carter is poised to be an incredible edge rusher in the NFL, and the Giants need defensive help. If the elite QB prospects are not available at No. 3, and Carter is still on the board, the Giants may very well decide to take a shot on him and help their defensive line going forward.

🏈 Cam Ward, QB, Miami (+700)

Ward would be an amazing acquisition for the Giants if they can nab him at No. 3, as he is considered by experts to be the top QB prospect in the draft. However, he is more likely to go first or second overall in the draft, meaning the Giants might have to trade up to acquire him.

🏈 The Field (+950)

After finishing tied for last in the league last year, the Giants have a ton of holes to fill, so they may look at someone else at No. 3, depending on who is available when they make their pick. This is a deep draft, so the Giants are going to have the opportunity to get a very nice prospect.
