Two of the premier division leaders in the AFC face off in prime time on Sunday Night Football when Deshaun Watson and the Houston Texans play host to Tom Brady and the New England Patriots.

PICK 1: Texans +3

Discounting both having humbling losses to the Ravens, the Patriots haven’t lost to anyone else and the Texans have won five of their last six.

There have been chinks in New England’s armor lately — the offense is averaging 15.8 ppg the last four weeks after averaging 31.3 the previous eight. And three of its four games with most yards allowed have been in the last four weeks. Twice the Texans have been +3 or +3.5 and in each instance they won straight up, over the Chiefs and Chargers.

PICK 2: Under 46 Points

New England’s offense has struggled for the last month, but the defense is still a top-tier unit. The last three Texans games have averaged 38 points and none of them included a Patriots-level D. The Under has hit in the last four Texans games and four of the last five Pats games, and eight of the last nine overall at Houston.

PICK 3: First Turnover — Texans

This one’s not hard to figure out. The Patriots have 20 INTs and a shocking plus-19 turnover ratio, nine better than any other team in the league. The Texans defense has intercepted just five passes while the offense has twice as many fumbles as New England.

PICK 4: Most Punts — Patriots

One would think the team with Brady and one of the elite defenses would win most punting battles. One would be incorrect. The Pats average a 5.6 punts per game, third-most in the league. The Texans average only 3.2, in part because the aggressive team is near the top of fourth-down attempts.

PICK 5: First Quarter — Patriots ML (3-Way)

The Patriots average 8.5 points in the first quarter and have allowed 20 points over 11 first quarters all season. The Texans average just 2.1 ppg in the opening 15 minutes and over the last three weeks have managed a combined three points.
