It was only two years ago when the Chiefs and Titans met in the AFC Championship game in Kansas City. The Titans were riding a red-hot Derrick Henry, but it was Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs who ended up winning that game and the Super Bowl.

Fast forward two years and Henry is running better than ever, and Mahomes and the Chiefs are still among the most fun teams to watch every week. But who will win this matchup in 2021? This might be the best game of the week and it could be critical for seeding in the conference.

To get you ready for this AFC matchup, here is everything you need to know from an NFL betting perspective going into Week 7.

Check out the latest Chiefs vs. Titans odds ahead of the matchup on Sunday.

Chiefs vs. Titans Key Matchups

Chiefs WR Tyreek Hill vs. Titans CB Janoris Jenkins: The Titans have lost several cornerbacks due to injuries, so it will be Jenkins following Hill in Week 7.

Titans RB Derrick Henry vs. Chiefs LB Anthony Hitchens: Henry is averaging 130.5 rushing yards per game this season. Kansas City has one of the worst run defenses in the NFL, but it’s up to Hitchens and company to slow down Henry. Good luck.

Chiefs LT Orlando Brown vs. Titans EDGE Harold Landry: Landry has already recorded 6.5 sacks this season along with 12 QB hits. Will Brown have the athleticism to handle Landry’s speed on the edge?

Chiefs vs. Titans Stats

29.3 The Chiefs have the No. 28 scoring defense in the NFL, allowing 29.3 points per game.

33:46: The Titans lead the NFL in time of possession at 33:46 minutes per game.

3-13-1: The Chiefs are just 3-13-1 ATS in their last 17 games.

12 of 18: The OVER has hit in 12 of the last 18 home games for the Titans.

1-9: The Chiefs are 1-9 ATS in their last 10 games against AFC opponents.

Chiefs vs. Titans Player Props

Titans RB Derrick Henry, Under 147.5 total yards

Odds: -115 at DraftKings

147.5 total yards is the highest total you will ever see for a running back. And while Henry has gone over that total three times this year, the Titans might not be able to stick with the run as much as they would like to in this game given the opposing offense.

Chiefs RB Darrel Williams, Over 56.5 rushing yards

Odds: -115 at DraftKings

Williams saw 21 carries against Washington in Week 6 and now will face a much worse run defense. Even if he sees only 15 or 16 carries, he should smash his yardage total in Week 7.

Chiefs WR Byron Pringle To Score A TD

Odds: +350 at DraftKings

With the Titans having so many injuries in their secondary, it wouldn’t be a surprise if the Chiefs scored 35 or more points. That means a ton of opportunities for other receivers, including Pringle.

Chiefs vs. Titans Moneyline

The Titans got a monster win in Week 6, defeating the Bills on Monday Night Football. However, it was a costly victory as starting cornerback Caleb Farley was lost for the season due to a knee injury, and both Taylor Lewan and Julio Jones left the game with injuries. It’s fair to expect both players to miss Week 7 and that is critical as they need all of their talent to compete with the Chiefs.

Kansas City’s run defense could make this game interesting as Derrick Henry should go off once again. But the Chiefs have the better quarterback and should have no problem scoring 30+ points in Week 7. Take the Chiefs (-222) on BetMGM to win this game outright despite being on the road once again.

Chiefs vs. Titans Point Spread

It’s very concerning how much the Chiefs have struggled against the spread over the last two seasons. A record of 3-13-1 in their last 17 games is a major issue. For whatever reason, they’ve had a hard time closing out some of these games as they let lesser teams hang around for far too long.

However, they are just a bad matchup for the Titans on Sunday and this should be a game in which they do cover the spread. The Titans have one of the league’s worst secondaries and their cornerback room has been decimated by injuries.

The Chiefs should have no problem throwing the ball all over the field, which should lead to at least a touchdown win for Kansas City. Expect the Titans to keep this game closer for a while with their rushing attack, but for the Chiefs to win and cover. Take the Chiefs -5.5 (-110) at DraftKings in this AFC battle between two likely playoff teams.

Chiefs vs. Titans Totals

The total for this game is set at 57.5 points, which is the highest of the week by far. That makes sense considering both teams rank inside the top eight in scoring offense this season and have no problem turning these types of games into shootouts. However, the Titans could be without several key offensive weapons, including Julio Jones. Instead, look for the Titans to try to use Henry to slow the game down to keep their defense off the field.

For that reason, take the Under 57.5 (-110) on FanDuel, but be sure to shop around for the best odds on your favorite betting apps and sportsbooks as this is likely to move throughout the week.
