It’s a two-horse race between the Colts and Titans for the AFC South crown in 2021. But both teams are off to rocky starts.

Indianapolis is 0-2 on the season and starting quarterback Carson Wentz has already suffered multiple injuries. He is now dealing with two different ankle sprains that could keep him out for this matchup.

The Titans were blown out in Week 1, but did manage to win in Week 2 in dramatic fashion. Still, there are some major concerns about both of these teams heading into Week 3.

While it’s too early to say anything definitive, it does seem like the winner of these matchups will likely win the division. To get you ready for this AFC South clash, here is everything you need to know from an NFL betting perspective going into Week 3.

Take a look at Colts vs Titans odds, injury report, betting lines and more.

Colts vs. Titans Key Matchups

Colts WR Michael Pittman vs. Titans CB Janoris Jenkins: Pittman has developed into the No. 1 receiver for the Colts. But can he still produce if Carson Wentz isn’t in the lineup?

Colts LT Eric Fisher vs. Titans EDGE Bud Dupree: Both players are still trying to work themselves into shape after season-ending injuries in 2020. But the Colts will need Fisher to dominate to help keep whatever quarterback plays upright and out of harm’s way.

Titans WR Julio Jones vs. Colts CB Rock Ya-Sin: Jones had a big performance in Week 2, totaling 128 yards on six receptions. The Colts will need excellent play from their young cornerbacks to slow him down.

5 Colts vs. Titans Stats

1-4: The Titans are 1-4 ATS in their last 5 home games.

5 of 6: The Titans have won 5 of their last 6 games during the month of September.

4-1: The Colts are 4-1 in their last five games against AFC South opponents.

10: The OVER has hit in 10 of the last 15 games for the Colts.

Colts vs. Titans Moneyline

The Colts have had a ton of success in Tennessee over the last decade. However, their quarterback situation is a bit murky as Carson Wentz looks doubtful to play on Sunday. The Colts will try to lean on their run game and defense, but they just don’t have enough firepower to keep up with the Titans on offense.

Despite their issues on defense, the Titans are just the better team. Take Tennessee to win (-250) on FanDuel . However, search out for the best price as this line has moved from -275 to -250 on some betting sites.

Colts vs. Titans Point Spread

Only the Falcons (80) and Lions (76) have allowed more points so far this season than the Titans. That’s why it’s hard to believe that they are 5.5 point favorites in this game. That speaks more to the question marks surrounding the Colts as their offense could really struggle in this game without Wentz.

Even if he does play, it stands to reason that he will be a severely compromised quarterback and could be a sitting duck in the pocket. 5.5 points for a division battle seems like a lot, but the Titans are just the better and healthier team in this one. Take the Titans -5.5 (-105) on DraftKings .

Colts vs. Titans Totals

When both of these teams are healthy on offense, they are among the best units in the NFL. However, the Colts are missing numerous starters and the Titans could be without several offensive lineman. Look for both teams to want to establish the run in order to keep their defenses off the field.

That sets up this game to be relatively low scoring with the winning team likely scoring around 24-27 points. Be sure to shop around on your favorite sportsbooks and betting apps as this total is different from site to site.

Take the Under 48 (-110) on BetMGM as this should be a lower-scoring game due to the inconsistent quarterback play.
