After skipping a year of pro football, Rob Gronkowski will be coming out of retirement in 2020 and reunite with quarterback Tom Brady in Tampa Bay.

The Patriots have traded the rights to Gronkowski and a 7th-round pick in this week's NFL draft to Tampa Bay and received a 4th-round pick in return, multiple reports said.

The Buccaneers, which saw their Super Bowl 55 odds boosted with the signing of Brady to +2500, are now +1200 at 888sport to win the title, tied for fourth-best odds with the New Orleans Saints. They are +1400 at PointsBet, which is offering a “Gronk Booster" to +2000.

Gronkowski hasn't played in the NFL since Super Bowl 53 and has shed considerable weight, in addition to winning the WWE 24/7 Championship at Wrestlemania 36. Gronkowski has dealt with multiple injuries throughout his career but has likely benefited from his extended time away from football.

Brady signed with the Bucs in March after 20 seasons with the Patriots, jolting the NFL futures markets. Brady and Gronkowski played together in New England from 2010-19. Gronkowski won three Super Bowls with the Patriots but was injured and did not play in New England's 34-28 victory over Atlanta in Super Bowl 51. His last reception with the Patriots was a 29-yarder reception set up the lone touchdown in New England's 13-3 victory over the Rams in Super Bowl 53.

Gronkowski is considered to be among the best tight ends ever in the NFL. He has 79 career TD catches and has averaged 15.1 yards per reception since breaking into the NFL as the 42nd overall pick in the 2010 draft.
