It may not seem like it after an AFC Wild Card defeat, but The Miami Dolphins made vast improvements in one year. After going 9-8, the team finished 11-6 in 2023 with an offense that tallied 99 more points than the year before rank No. 2 in scoring and No. 1 in yards gained.

The defense also improved, but Miami this off-season had to deal with salary cap issues of going nearly all-in in ’23. There are spots to shore up and the NFL Draft is a good place for it.

Bookies.com veteran oddsmaker Adam Thompson has used his resources of NFL contacts developed over 20 years covering the league and the NFL Draft to create his hypothetical NFL futures odds on who gets selected 21st by the Miami Dolphins in the 2024 NFL Draft.

Who Will The Dolphins Take In The 2024 NFL Draft?

O-line remains a priority, especially for those who can play multiple positions on the line. Injuries decimated the unit last season.

Troy Fautanu of Washington could be around, while Jordan Morgan of Arizona should be around when Miami’s time is up. Both are tackles who many analysts believe could make the move go guard and be just as effective in the pros.

Jackson Powers-Johnson of Oregon can play guard and center, and Graham Barton of Duke is the top center. All three positions Miami could consider at No. 21, going the “best available” route.

The Dolphins could look for depth on the D-line, including Edge rushers, and the team could be seeking another safety. Tyler Durbin of Minnesota is the only safety in consideration for the first round. He could learn under Jevon Holland before he potentially leaves for free agency in 2025. Nate Wiggins, the cornerback from Clemson, could help shore up the defensive backfield.

Ultimately, for a team that has pieces across the board, depth is what the Dolphins will be seeking through most of the draft. It makes “The Field” the favorite for the Dolphins’ pick at No. 21. They could do in just about any direction and add a piece to help them in 2024.
