With just three games left on the schedule, the Philadelphia Eagles have their eyes set on the playoffs. The Giants are looking at a decent draft pick with just four wins to date. It’s a little surprising that sportsbooks see the Eagles as a dominant 10-point favorite, especially after just pushing the same line against WFT and their third-string QB.

This is one of the largest NFL spreads on the board this week. We have a new(er) wrinkle in NFL betting as COVID pushed the Eagles to a Tuesday night, so there is a short week for Philadelphia already factored into the line.

With this game sitting at 10 points for the start of the week, expect a lot of people to incorporate this matchup in their NFL picks, mainly as a teaser play. The Giants have lost four of five with that lone win coming at home against Philadelphia. The Eagles bounced right back from that, beating the Jets and an undermanned WFT team.

Check out the latest Giants vs Eagles odds, betting lines, injury report and more.

Giants vs Eagles Key Matchups

Jalen Hurts vs The World: It’s become quite evident this season that Jalen Hurts is an absolute problem on the ground. He isn’t invincible, nor is he able to throw like the top passers in the league – yet. But he leads the league’s top rushing attack and shows zero signs of being slowed down. He ran for 77 yards on the Giants.

Giants D vs. Eagles Rush O: It’s not just Hurts, as Miles Sanders has put up two straight games of over 100 yards on the ground. The Giants are near the bottom of the league in stopping the run.

Mike Glennon vs Jake Fromm: Does it really matter? The fact that Joe Judge is debating which QB to start against the Eagles shows how far the Giants fell without Daniel Jones. They at least had a shot in games with Jones.

Giants vs Eagles Key Stats

165.6: It’s the most well-oiled machine in the NFL, the Philadelphia Eagles rushing attack. They lead the league in yards on the ground.

11th: The Eagles defense is just outside the top 10 in the NFL in combined rush/pass yards allowed per game.

10: Jalen Hurts has a team-leading 10 rushing TDs on the season – adding two more against Washington this past Tuesday night.

27th/25th: The Giants rankings for overall offense and defense, respectively. No matter who is out there at WR – and it’s been a healthy rotation of players – the offense still seems to struggle.

1: If Fromm gets the start against the Eagles, it would be just his second game played all season, and the first start.

3:7: If Glennon gets the start, then look no further than his TD to INT ratio – which comes in just three starts.

Giants vs Eagles Moneyline

There is no value whatsoever in jumping on Philadelphia here unless you are anchoring this and another play in a parlay, or you are making one of those Floyd Mayweather bets. The hardest part about taking the Giants isn’t the backups, or injuries at WR, or how absolutely atrocious their OL is.

No, it’s mostly a matter of how well Philadelphia is playing and the likelihood of New York sweeping the series.

Giants vs Eagles Spread

Bettors may see the above statement and want to get ahead on betting sites before it moves to 11, or even 12 by kick. Any announcement about moving to Fromm would also push the line back.

The Eagles aren’t dealing with any injuries and have a sense of payback from their previous loss to the Giants. Normally a 10-point spread in-division would raise eyebrows, but this late in the season and considering all the issues with the Giants, take the Eagles -10. Philadelphia is dialed in and won’t come out as sloppy as it did against Washington.

Giants vs Eagles Total

The last time these two teams got together they accounted for just 20 total points. It was ugly all around, for both offenses. The Eagles still ran the ball, they just didn’t convert drives into points. Expect a healthy shift in points and be confident in going over here, especially with Philadelphia’s big-play capability on the ground.

They can take chunks out of this Giants defense and convert more into points. Expect a couple of turnovers for New York, adding to shorter fields. Even at 34-10, this game goes Over.

While this matchup comes too early for New York sports betting fans, make sure to keep tabs on the latest early sign-up offers in the Empire State as online betting is expected to launch prior to the Super Bowl.
