The NFL betting playoff schedule has reached the Divisional Round. There are 4 games spread over 2 days. Doubleheaders on Saturday and Sunday.

Fans consider this the best weekend of NFL football all season. It’s the final Saturday with legitimate football until Week Zero of the college season on August 24.

The Divisional Round begins on Saturday when the AFC-best Baltimore Ravens play host to the upstart Houston Texans at 4:30 p.m. That game is followed by the No. 1 seed San Francisco 49ers facing off at home against the Green Bay Packers at 8:15 p.m.

Sunday, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers visit Detroit in the early game starting at 3 p.m. The Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs play at Buffalo in the nightcap set to begin at 6:30 p.m.

The Wild Card Round featured several lopsided outcomes, with 5 of the 6 games being decided by 14 or more points. Upset winners included the Texans, Packers, and Buccaneers.

The winning teams emerged relatively injury-free, with all six teams set to go with their main-line starting QBs. Baker Mayfield was banged up entering Monday night’s win at Tampa Bay but isn’t expected to miss any time moving forward.

Saturday, January 20

(5) Houston Texans at (1) Baltimore Ravens, 4:30 p.m. (NBC)

Buzz: Houston rookie QB C.J. Stroud smoked the Browns in the Wild Card Round and established himself as a top-tier passer in the AFC. It’s been a good run. But the Ravens are rested and ready for a run to the Super Bowl behind Lamar Jackson and a ball-hawking defense. The Texans aren’t indoors anymore. The forecast calls for a chilly and windy day in Baltimore. The Ravens can blow out opponents (see: Miami), or win games at the gun on the foot of Justin Tucker. The Ravens will lean on their defense. Each of their past 10 games played in January at home have gone under the points totals. These teams met in Week 1 and Baltimore won 25-9. That was Stroud’s NFL debut. Baltimore won its final 6 games that mattered. But the last time the Ravens held the No. 1 seed in the AFC, they were upended 28-12 by the Titans. Not this time.

Best Bet: Under 45.5 Points (-110) with DraftKings Sportsbook

(7) Green Bay Packers at (1) San Francisco 49ers, 8:15 p.m. (FOX)

Buzz: Aaron Who? Jordan Love iced his role as the Packers franchise QB with a spectacular performance against the Cowboys. Green Bay crushed Dallas 48-32 after racing to the 27-0 lead in the first half. It became the first No. 7 seed to reach the Divisional Round since 2020. But instead of facing a franchise baptized in postseason dysfunction, the Packers face the Gold Standard of the NFC. And they take their West Coast offense to the place where it was perfected (meaning the Bay Area). The 49ers needed the bye and should be fully healed. Unlike the Cowboys, the 49ers defense knows how to make tackles and pressure the quarterback. The Packers won’t be able to come out running like they did against Dallas. But what about that double-digit spread? The 49ers are underwater ATS, going 9-8 against their 12-5 mark straight up. They are 4-2 on double-digit lines, but 3 of those wins game against teams under .500. The road team has covered in each of the past 10 games at Levi’s Stadium.

Best Bet: Packers +10 (-115) with DraftKings Sportsbook

Sunday, January 21

(4) Tampa Bay Buccaneers at (3) Detroit Lions, 3 p.m. (NBC)

Buzz: QB Jared Goff is finally at home in Detroit. But the Lions needed some help from the refs to get past the Rams. Tampa Bay demolished the defending NFC Champions Monday night, rolling past the ailing and dysfunctional Eagles 32-9. The Buccaneers have won 6 of their last 7 after starting the season 4-7. They are winning with defense. But Baker Mayfield has played his way into Comeback Player of the Year consideration by limiting his mistakes. He lit up the Eagles secondary Monday by throwing for 337 yards and 3 TDs. And no picks. That’s the key for Tampa Bay this week. The Buccaneers will have to deliver another zero-turnover performance if they hope to silence the wild crowd inside Ford Field. The Lions visited Tampa Bay earlier this season and smothered the Bucs 20-6. Tampa Bay has since become healed and healthy. The Buccaneers are a tough out on the road ATS, covering 8 of their past 9 road games.

Best Bet: Buccaneers +6 (-115) with DraftKings Sportsbook

(3) Kansas City Chiefs at (2) Buffalo Bills, 6:30 p.m. (CBS)

Buzz: Buffalo dominated Pittsburgh Monday 31-17 at home in a game that was delayed a day by a snowstorm. The Chiefs froze out the Dolphins in Kansas City on Saturday. A two-day disparity in time off might be an issue here in terms of getting players fully healed. One would imagine Andy Reid’s been game-planning for the Bills in the postseason since last year. This is the first time QB Patrick Mahomes will be playing an AFC playoff game on the road. Both teams are used to the cold. There won’t be any blizzards this weekend in Orchard Park. The Swifties have been winning all season with its defense. The Bills have shown themselves to be content with running the ball and controlling clock. The Chiefs cover on the road – having done so 9 straight times against AFC opponents. And they’ve won their past four games outright as underdogs. We’d lean on the under, but not at this number. Perhaps 13 seconds will be a bit shorter in New York.

Best Bet: Chiefs +2.5 (-102) with DraftKings Sportsbook
