We are entering Week 8 and we now firmly have enough data on most teams and the usage for players across the NFL. While that should make it easier to set daily fantasy sports (DFS) lineups and for NFL betting purposes, it also means that scores are higher across all tournaments and lines are tighter.

To win big DFS leagues, you must not miss on any players and it does take a little outside-the-box thinking to have success. So without further ado, let’s dive into some of the best stacks and must-plays of the week.

Best Week 8 Stacks

Eagles QB Jalen Hurts ($7,200) and WR DeVonta Smith ($5,500)

Hurts continues to be the ultimate cheat code in DFS. He has scored at least 21.8 DFS points in every game this season and averages 26 points per game through seven games. His ability to rack up rushing yards (and touchdowns) gives him a high floor.

This week, the Eagles will take on a leaky pass defense in the Detroit Lions and should score into the upper 20s or low 30s. You'll want to stack him with DeVonta Smith, who has averaged eight targets per game over the last four weeks. He has scored just one touchdown this season, but some positive regression is coming for the rookie receiver.

Saints QB Jameis Winston ($6,000) and WR Marquez Callaway ($5,400)

This is a revenge game for Jameis Winston as he will get his first career start against the Buccaneers. Tampa Bay’s defense was fantastic in Week 7, destroying Justin Fields. However, they can be had through the air as they have allowed the 10th-most fantasy points to opposing quarterbacks.

Winston is a fine play this week, but Callaway is who you want in your lineup. He's totaled 15 targets over the last two weeks and has seen a ton of passes down the field. With a suspect secondary in Tampa Bay, he should see some high-quality targets in Week 8.

Colts QB Carson Wentz ($5,700) and WR Michael Pittman Jr. ($5,300)

If you are looking for a cheap quarterback with a relatively high floor, look no further than Carson Wentz. He has scored at least two touchdowns in four straight games and has not thrown a single interception. He’ll face the Titans (at home) in Week 8, who have one of the league’s worst secondaries. He's not likely to score 30+ DFS points, but he can pretty easily get at least 18 points, which means he is an excellent value at $5,700.

Michael Pittman Jr. is his top target and is averaging 72.6 yards per game this season. In fact, since Week 1, he’s averaging 7.7 targets per game and 79.8 receiving yards. He is a strong flex play this week at just $5,300.

RB Leonard Fournette Bucs vs Saints $6,300

WR Chris Godwin Bucs vs Saints $6,400
WR DeVonta Smith Eagles vs Lions$5,500
TE Hunter Henry Patriots vs Chargers $4,200
FLEX Michael Pittman Jr. Titans vs Colts $5,300
D/STBills Dolphins vs Bills$3,300

Note: Based on a $50,000 salary cap for the week and for Sunday daytime contests

It’s gone a little bit unnoticed, but Leonard Fournette is having an outstanding season with the Buccaneers. He is the clear-cut RB1 in Tampa Bay, and Bruce Arians and Tom Brady love to give him the rock. Over the last four games, Fournette has averaged 21 touches per game and he is seeing five targets in the passing game.

He’ll face the Saints in Week 8, who have allowed the second-fewest points to opposing running backs. But have no fear as Fournette’s workload and touchdown upside make him a low-end RB1 this season.

Another Tampa Bay player that you must get into your lineups this week is Chris Godwin. Not only is Antonio Brown out this week due to a foot injury, but Mike Evans is going to be shadowed by Marshon Lattimore. In eight matchups against Lattimore, Evans has scored just three touchdowns and has been held under 15 yards in four games.

Godwin will have the much better matchup this week and he has seen a ton of targets in games in which Brown doesn’t play. Godwin is a must-start this week on your sports betting app as he is a lock to score a touchdown and see double-digit targets.
