Teams with offensive questions face off on the national stage when the Seattle Seahawks, without star QB Russell Wilson, face Ben Roethlisberger and the inconsistent Pittsburgh Steelers for the Week 6 edition of Sunday Night Football. Wilson was lost for at least a month with a hand injury suffered in Week 5, while Big Ben and the Steelers had a season-high 27 points last Sunday but still rank near the bottom in many offensive categories.

Betting sites and most betting apps have Pittsburgh at -4.5 in the latest Seahawks vs. Steelers NFL spreads range for this showdown of teams looking to make a move up the ranks.

Take a look at Seahawks vs Steelers odds, injury report, betting lines and more.

Seahawks vs. Steelers Key Matchups

Najee Harris vs. Seahawks Front 7: Harris rushed for 122 yards – 60 yards over his previous career high – in the Steelers’ Week 5 win over Denver. Seattle has allowed at least 113 yards in every game.

Seahawks WRs vs. Steelers CBs: The Steelers have allowed the fifth-most receptions to receivers this season. Tyler Lockett and DK Metcalf each have 25 receptions on the season; nobody else has more than 10.

T.J. Watt vs. Seahawks O-Line: Watt has five of Pittsburgh’s 10 sacks, despite missing more than one game of action due to injury. Seattle has allowed the 11th-most sacks.

5 Key Seahawks vs. Steelers Stats

9: TDs allowed to wide receivers by the Steelers defense, the most of any team. Seahawks wideouts DK Metcalf, Tyler Lockett and Freddie Swain have a combined 10 TDs.

28 & 142: The touches and total yards for Steelers rookie RB Najee Harris in two of his last three games. He had 22 carries for 122 yards last week, and in Week 3 had 14 receptions for 102 yards.

41: Total passing yards by Geno Smith from 2018-2020, a span of three seasons. He gets the start on Sunday in replacement of Russell Wilson.

120.9: The QB Rating last Sunday for Ben Roethlisberger in a 27-19 win over the Broncos. His rating hadn’t eclipsed 87 in any of the previous four games and was averaging out at 80.

947: Seattle’s total yards allowed by opposing running backs through five games, by far the most in the NFL.

Seahawks vs. Steelers Weather Forecast

Sunday night in Pittsburgh offers a pleasant enough evening. The Sunday high is in the mid 60s, with a kickoff temperature likely in the mid-to-upper 50s. No rain is expected but wind is to be determined that night with expected gusting during the day.

Seahawks vs. Steelers Player Props

D.K. Metcalf, Over 61.5 Yards

Odds: -115 at BetMGM

Geno Smith replacing Russell Wilson at QB offers pause on any Seahawks wideout. But Metcalf was Smith’s go-to when he replaced Wilson against the Rams last Sunday. Metcalf led the team in targets, receptions and yards with Geno on the field, and accounted for the team’s only TD.

D.K. Metcalf, Over 4.5 Receptions

Odds: -160 at DraftKings

The Steelers have allowed the third-most completions to receivers this season. See above why I believe Metcalf will be the first look for Geno Smith most of the night.

Geno Smith, Over 224.5 Yards

Odds: -115 at DraftKings

We haven’t seen much of Smith, but from what we saw against a strong Rams defense, he likes to get the ball downfield. He has one of the premier WR duos in the league and is facing a defense that’s allowing 272 ypg through the air. Smith is a veteran, so expect him to be confident despite the situation. That Seattle’s run game has injury concerns could mean Pete Carroll keeps the playbook open for Geno. This is a very low number for a QB with a green light.

Geno Smith, Under 0.5 Interceptions

Odds: +170 at DraftKings

There’s a reason these odds are so high. For one, he averages over one INT per start over his career. That said, most of those starts came during his rookie year with the Jets, and the Steelers’ defense has just two interceptions on the entire season. We’ll take the high-reward Under here.

DK Metcalf and Najee Harris, 1 TD Each

Odds: +350 at FOX Bet

Metcalf has scored in all but one game so far this season, and obviously I’m all-in on DK having a big night on Sunday. Harris has TDs in three of five games and has become a central part of the offense the last two weeks. Each has matchup advantages and will get red zone looks.

Seahawks vs. Steelers Moneyline

When it comes to NFL betting on the moneyline, no Russell Wilson seems to be a very big obstacle to overcome to consider backing Seattle, even at +175.

Pittsburgh has too many advantages and its glaring weakness – the offensive line – is matched up to a team that can’t exploit it. Getting the Steelers at -210 isn’t bad, but there are other bets worth backing more.

Seahawks vs. Steelers Point Spread

The Steelers are favored by 4.5 points after opening at -4, meaning the money is backing Pittsburgh. That’s mostly due to the uncertainty of Geno Smith vs. Pittsburgh’s defense. But let’s not forget how horrible the Seahawks’ defense is. It ranks 31st vs. the run and 30th vs. the pass.

And that is the reason laying the points with Pittsburgh is the better play. Seattle was successful due to the playmaking of Wilson and the pass attack. Without that, the Seahawks could be in trouble. Lay the points with the home team here. You can get Steelers -4.5 (-110) at BetMGM.

Seahawks vs. Steelers Totals

NFL sportsbooks have posted an Over/Under of 42 points for Week 6 Sunday Night Football, the lowest total of the week. That would be nearly in line with the 42.8 ppg the teams have averaged so far.

But most of Seattle’s games have come with Wilson at the helm, not Geno Smith. Here he faces one of the NFL’s most aggressive units. Seattle’s defense is a disaster, but the Steelers have scored 17 or less in three games and no more than 27. This total is too low, but I’m not taking the Over here, either. If you need to pick a side of the total to add to your Week 6 NFL picks, the Under is the better choice. You can get Under 42.5 (-114) at FanDuel Sportsbook.
