The season can’t end fast enough for these two teams. The Giants are shooting up the draft board with each loss, and Washington should be lifeless after being eliminated last weekend. It’s not by any error that sportsbooks have WFT as such a heavy favorite. Two words, one name – Jake Fromm.

If you are using this game for any of your NFL picks then fade Fromm at all costs. With both teams eliminated, we look for some obvious factors with NFL spreads like injuries, but also how a team is playing. The Giants are getting steamrolled, while a ravaged WFT team is still fighting.

Taylor Heinicke should get Antonio Gibson back behind him – as the lead WFT back missed last week with COVID. Road teams having to cover a larger number in-division may sometimes be a deterrent with NFL betting but not here, mainly because the Giants offense is awful.

Take a look at Giants vs Washington odds, injury report, betting lines and more.

WFT vs Giants Key Matchups

WFT Defense vs. Fromm: There’s no excuse for the WFT defense to not blitz every single time the Giants drop back to pass. Fromm is awful, the Giants OL is even worse, and WFT has a decent front to pressure QBs.

WFT Pass O vs. Giants D: The Giants can’t throw, can’t run, can’t stop the run, but do have some success against the pass. This may be the only way the Giants can even hang in this game.

Ron Rivera vs Joe Judge: The harsh reality of this game is one coach – Rivera – has total control over his team despite circumstances outside the locker room. Judge has lost all control and impact, and should get slaughtered.

WFT vs Giants Key Stats

31st: The Giants have the second-worst offense in the NFL, and that’s without starting Jake Fromm at quarterback.

20th: Things aren’t much better for Washington, but their 20th-ranked offense is good enough to beat New York.

8th: The WFT is a tough stop on the ground. They are 8th in the NFL in stopping the rush and might force the Giants to use Fromm early in the game.

0:1: This is the TD:INT ratio for Fromm over the course of two games and 29 pass attempts.

35: Heinicke is definitely a guy who the Giants can get to, as the WFT QB has been sacked 35 times in 14 starts.

310: The WFT QB is second on the team in rushing, as Heinicke’s 310 yards on the ground is second only to Gibson.

WFT vs Giants Moneyline

Normally we look to betting sites for value on the underdog, especially with the moneyline. But we know not all dogs are created equal, and in this case the Giants are simply cooked.

It’s been a terrible year for Saquon Barkley, mainly due to injury and the OL in front of him, and NY is starting a 3rd-string QB. There’s just no pathway to the Giants winning this game outright and the risk is south of +300, so there’s no reason to jump on.

This game comes just in time for New York sports betting, which will launch on Saturday. Head to our Caesars Sportsbook New York and DraftKings New York pages to check out the latest offers available for those operators.

WFT vs Giants Spread

There’s also no reason to take the points. The WFT is more talented and should be getting a couple of key guys back on both sides of the ball. If Rivera is starting anyone, then it’s a safe bet they will be out there to compete. We can’t be sure if Judge’s team will even care enough to put up a fight. The Giants are a 9-to-10-point home dog on a true line for me, and don’t gain any advantage below 7 points. Take Washington on this line.

WFT vs Giants Total

The only reason why anyone would go over this total is the belief that WFT can hit 30 points on their own. As good as they are compared to the Giants, they are still a 6-win team struggling to find anything consistent. The Giants are bad enough to drag WFT down into a low-scoring slugfest. Washington is also on the road and it’s the last week of a long season, so expect them to be up and ultimately run out the clock. Take the Under 38.
