PICK 1: Burnley Wins
Burnley plays host to West Ham, with both sides looking to pick themselves up after a poor run lately. Burnley lost their last three games, while West Ham failed to win any of their last five Premier League outings. Burnley are normally strong at home with only Liverpool and Chelsea winning at Turf Moor this season and they will be hoping to take advantage of a porous West Ham defense.
The Hammers have conceded two or more goals in four of their last five games and the pressure is starting to build on Manuel Pellegrini. Burnley have scored two or more goals in each of their last three Premier League meetings with West Ham and this looks like it could be a good time to play a below-par Hammers side. I expect goals in this match as both defenses have looked shaky, but given Burnley's play at home I'm going to play it simple and stick with the outrights and a Burnley win.
PICK 2: Leicester Wins & Both Teams Score
Arsenal travel to high-flying Leicester this weekend in desperate need of a result following a horrible slump. The Gunners have now won just two of their last nine Premier League games and the pressure is starting to build on the under-fire boss Unai Emery.
In their last four games (in all competitions) Arsenal have surrendered a lead which has cost them winning the game and question marks are being raised over the current Arsenal squad. Leicester on the other hand are firing on all cylinders and are six points ahead of fifth-placed Arsenal. Leicester look better equipped to finish in the top four ahead of Arsenal right now and another win at the King Power Stadium would put a huge dent in Arsenal's top ambitions.
Jamie Vardy is the top scorer in the Premier League with 10 goals so far this season and he will relish coming up against Arsenal's fragile defense, having scored eight goals in eight matches against the Gunners. Leicester have netted 12 goals at home this season – the third highest in the league – and have the best defensive record with just three goals conceded, while only four teams in the league have netted fewer away goals than Arsenal’s five.
The stats and recent play all point to a home win for Leicester and adding in both teams to score gives a bit more value for our pick.
PICK 3: Wolves Wins & Both Teams Score
Wolves take on Aston Villa in a midlands derby with both sides in need of the three points to climb up the Premier League table. Wolves have improved after making a slow start to the season and last weekend's draw at Arsenal saw them stretch their unbeaten record to six games.
Wolves have been draw specialists in the league with seven from their 11 games so far and they need to be more clinical if they are to turn those draws into wins. Villa has made a decent start to life back in the Premier League with 11 points from 11 games, but they sit just three points clear of the relegation zone. Villa came close to ending Liverpool's unbeaten start last weekend before losing late and they have shown they do have goal scoring ability, having scored 16 goals.
However, they have struggled for clean sheets conceding 18 goals and their road matches are a concern, having lost four of their five games away from Villa Park. Villa got the better of a much-changed Wolves side in the EFL Cup clash last month, but I think a full strength Wolves get revenge here. With Wolves failing to keep a clean sheet in their last three games, and Villa only having two all season, I'm going to side with a Wolves win and both teams to score.
PICK 4: Liverpool vs Man City Draw
The game of the season so far takes place at Anfield as Liverpool take on title rivals Manchester City. Liverpool go into the game six points clear of City at the top of the table and the final result could have a huge impact on the title race.
Liverpool have only dropped two points so far and although they have been far from convincing in recent weeks they still manage to find a way to gain a positive result. City are the only team to beat Liverpool in their last 50 league matches and that win last season proved crucial in the final destination of the Premier League title. City have a poor record at Anfield having not won there since 2003 and Pep Guardiola will know they can't make too many more slip ups if they are to keep pace with Liverpool at the top of the table.
With so many quality performers on the pitch in, both sides scoring goals should be on the menu. With Liverpool keeping only three clean sheets all season, and City only failing to score in one game, both teams to score should be a certainty at Anfield. This is a tough one to call and with so much at stake in the title race I'm going to go for draw and both teams to score from this weekend's Premier League blockbuster.
