Next Fulham Manager Odds

Marco Silva was the second-longest tenured manager in the Premier League, having been in charge of Fulham for nearly five years. He did a great job with the team, establishing them in the Premier League once again.

However, the time has come to look for pastures new. The coach's contract was set to run out in June, and with no sign a new one being signed, football betting sites priced up the market for who might replace him. He then confirmed Tuesday he would be leaving the Cottagers. It has been reported that he has agreed to become Benfica coach to replace Jose Mourinho.

They are relatively big shoes to fill, as he's kept Fulham in the Premier League easily in the last few seasons despite frequently selling his best players. The names on the market with most betting sites will be familiar with Premier League and Fulham fans, but since it is early days, you wonder if some surprise names will appear.

Betting apps believed former Brentford and Tottenham manager Thomas Frank was the early favourite for the role, and he may have been the right profile for it. However, he has since ruled himself out of the running for any position this summer. Since then there has been significant noise over Alvaro Arbeloa, who managed Real Madrid in the second half of last season.

Despite some decent results, including a 5-1 aggregate win over Manchester City in the Champions League, the ex-Liverpool full-back left the club and has been linked to the vacant Fulham job - a role which would surely come with less scrutiny than that of Real Madrid.

Ruben Amorim Shortens as Silva Replacement

Arebloa Linked to Craven Cottage

Everything seemed to be going swimmingly for Alvaro Arbeloa after his retirement, with the right-back taking over Real Madrid Under 14s in 2020 and working his way up to eventually becoming Real Madrid manager when Xabi Alonso departed after just six months in charge in January 2026.

However, Arbeloa failed to really leave his mark during his few months at the helm and was given his marching orders in June. Is Arne Slot Interested in Staying in the Premier League?

To suggest Arne Slot would be linked with the Fulham manager's job at the start of the last season, you would have been laughed at. It is no disrespect to Fulham to say they aren't as big a club as Liverpool, and Slot had just led the Reds to a Premier League title.

However, after a disastrous second campaign in charge that saw them limp home in fifth after spending £400 million in the summer, the Dutchman was sent packing. He still has credit in the bank for helping Liverpool to the title, as well as having success with Feyenoord. The Dutchman rejected an approach from Fulham in June but if no alternative appears, he may reconsider if the role remains open.

The current betting market reads like a who's who of managers sacked in the Premier League this season with Liam Rosenior also in the running. Outside of those names, you will find others who have also been linked to the vacant Crystal Palace manager's job too, in the form of Kjetil Knutsen of Bodo/Glimt and Getafe coach Jose Bordelas. Kieran McKenna has been linked with a number of roles in the last year or so since doing such a good job with Ipswich, and he is linked once again here.

There are sure to be other big names added to the market in due course, as it is a fairly plumb role with a hands-off owner who is happy for coaches to have carte blanche on proceedings.
