Marco Silva is the second-longest tenured manager in the Premier League having been in charge of Fulham for nearly five years. He has done a great job with the team, establishing them in the Premier League once again.

However, it looks as if the time might have come to look for pastures new. The coach's contract runs out in June, and with no sign a new one being signed, football betting sites have priced up the market for who might replace him. It has been reported that he has agreed to become Benfica coach to replace Jose Mourinho.

They are relatively big shoes to fill, as he's kept Fulham in the Premier League easily in the last few seasons despite frequently selling his best players. The names on the market with most betting sites will be familiar with Premier League and Fulham fans, but since it is early days, you wonder if some surprise names will appear.

As it stands, betting apps believe former Brentford and Tottenham manager Thomas Frank was the early favourite for the role, and he may have the right profile for it. Other names included are Oliver Glasner, Arne Slot, Liam Rosenior and Kieran McKenna.

McKenna has impressed all with his management of Ipswich, getting them back in the Premier League once again. Would he want to move to a similar-sized club that perhaps have slightly deeper pockets? He is the current betting favourite regardless.

Thomas Frank Would Make Sense as Silva Replacement

When betting on the next Fulham manager first opened on fast withdrawal betting sites, Thomas Frank was installed as favourite, and it’s pretty clear to see why. He’s got tons of Premier League experience, having brought Brentford from the Championship to being an established, secure side in England’s top tier.

His next step was to take the poisoned chalice that is the Spurs job, lasting just eight months. It’s unlikely he’ll be on the market for too long. With Fulham in a similar position to how Brentford were when Frank left, on the back of four successive mid-table finishes, Frank may just be the next logical step in the project to take Fulham to the next level.

Are Fulham Big Enough for Glasner?

After deciding he was going to leave Crystal Palace at the end of the season, you would have thought Oliver Glasner had a job somewhere lined up. But that doesn’t appear to be the case as he is still without a club for next season.

After what he achieved with Palace you would think he perceives Fulham as a step either backwards or sideways, so it would be a surprise if he ended up here. With his stock so high and the self belief he has, he is probably going to wait for a bigger club to come calling.

Is Arne Slot Interested in Staying in the Premier League?

To suggest Arne Slot would be linked with the Fulham manager's job at the start of the last season, you would have been laughed at. It is no disrespect to Fulham to say they aren't as big a club as Liverpool, and Slot had just led the Reds to a Premier League title.

However, after a disastrous second campaign in charge that saw them limp home in fifth after spending £400 million in the summer, the Dutchman was sent packing. He still has credit in the bank for helping Liverpool to the title, as well as having success with Feyenoord. With that in mind, it might be unlikely that Fulham is his next club, but it could be a great way to repair any reputational damage if he wants to stay in the league.

Other Names Linked to the Fulham Role

The current betting market reads like a who's who of managers sacked in the Premier League this season with Liam Rosenior also in the running. Outside of those names, you will find others who have also been linked to the vacant Crystal Palace manager's job too, in the form of Kjetil Knutsen of Bodo/Glimt and Getafe coach Jose Bordelas.

There are sure to be other big names added to the market in due course, as it is a fairly plumb role with a hands-off owner who is happy for coach's to have carte blanche on proceedings.
