Premier League Relegation Odds 2026/27

Every season, the Premier League relegation battle is one of the most intriguing storylines. For many punters on UK betting apps, the starting point when choosing who to back for relegation will be to look at the three newly promoted teams.

Newly Promoted Teams Popular Choices For Drop

Sunderland in for Tricky Campaign?

This time 12 months ago, even the most optimistic of Sunderland fans could scarcely have predicted how well their season would go. Fulham and Leeds Could Struggle

Fulham finished 11th last season, never even really flirting with relegation, but this campaign is likely to be more testing after a summer of change. Alvaro Arbeloa has replaced the experienced Marco Silva at the helm, and £34 million has been spent on Gonzalo Garcia from Real Madrid, whilst last season's two top scorers in Harry Wilson and Raul Jimenez both departed on free transfers.

Speaking of Wilson, the winger has headed north to join Leeds as they look to avoid the second season syndrome. It was a disastrous start to the last campaign but things picked up from December as they lost just four of their next 24. The additions of Wilson and Tarik Muharemovic are both positive, but there is concern amongst the Elland Road faithful over the holes left by the departures of Karl Darlow and Pascal Struijk.

Newcastle an Outsider Worth Considering

Newcastle returned to reality with a bump last season in what was a complete write-off of a campaign. The drawn-out sale of Alexander Isak and the missing out of several targets over the summer set the tone, then the on-pitch performances matched the mood as the Magpies could only muster a 12th-place finish.

Eddie Howe has now left the building along with starters Sandro Tonali, Anthony Gordon and soon to be captain Bruno Guimaraes, further lowering the mood in the north east. This season could be another very tricky one for Newcastle, and being involved in a relegation battle isn't beyond the realms of possibility.

Could Man City Be Relegated?

As it has been for what feels like forever now, the short answer is probably not. It's been over three years since Man City were charged by the Premier League on 115 counts of breaching financial fair play rules between 2009 and 2018, and it seems we are no closer to getting a verdict right now.

If they are charged, a points deduction could immediately be applied and it would likely be hefty enough relegate the Cityzens, who are now managed by Enzo Maresca following Pep Guardiola's decision to leave.
