The Dublin Racing Festival, commonly referred to as the DRF, takes place this weekend at Leopardstown in Dublin, Ireland. Since its inception in 2018, it has risen to great prominence on the UK and Ireland horse racing calendar, with two top-class days of racing on the first weekend in February. Held at the famous Irish venue with huge crowds of over 25,000 packed into the stands, it is a huge occasion for fans and horse racing betting sites alike.

The meeting consists of eight Grade 1 races and well over €2 million in prize money, which rivals any similar meeting globally for jump racing stars. All runners will be testing their mettle ahead of the Cheltenham Festival targets in March this year, but these races, and the supporting cards on both Saturday and Sunday, will take plenty of winning in their own right. The prize money and glory on offer makes for highly competitive action.

We have teamed up with the Racehour team and special guests to bring you a two-hour preview of the meeting in association with the Tote.

The Tote is a huge supporter of both Irish and British racing, with a long tradition of sponsoring and supporting the industry while being the leaders in pool-based betting at the tracks, in its kiosks and of course now very much on its horse racing betting apps.

The panel for the preview is star-studded:

  • David Jennings – Racing Post
  • Paddy Aspell – Cheltenham Festival Winning Jockey / Broadcaster
  • Stephen Cass – Ex-Racing Post and Betting Expert
  • Jamie Benson – Tote.co.uk, Creator of Fantasy Racing on the Tote and of course Beat Benson in the Tote Tournaments!
  • Diarmuid Nolan – Racehour Creator and Horse Racing Expert
  • Dean Ryan – Racehour Host and Horse Racing Expert

David Jennings hosts the show, and each race at the Dublin Racing Festival is covered in detail, including the supporting cards.

Where Can I Watch the Dublin Racing Festival 2023?

The races will all be available on RacingTV and across RTE and ITV terrestrial TV channels for the Grade 1 contests this weekend. Many betting sites will stream the action live, including the Tote, which will also provide the opportunity to be involved in its Betting Tournaments. In these, you can match yourself against other Tote players and take on Jamie Benson himself for additional prizes.

As well as this, the Tote has added Fantasy Racing to its roster of horse racing betting products, and this game allows you to play for a small stake aiming for cash prizes across several races on each day, with a points system rather than a bet in each race. Much like the famous Tote Placepot and Jackpot, this is becoming hugely popular for racing fans.
