Tip 3 - 3:20 Ludlow - Three Pikes
Plenty of unknowns in this small field, with three of the five on handicap debut. Three Pikes has shaped quite nicely in his three hurdle races so far without winning. But it is interesting to see quite a marked drop in trip of half a furlong. Dillarchie picked up a long-overdue win at Catterick last month and could be primed to strike again. Despite creeping up the weights on the back of that victory, she remains three pounds below the mark she had when winning over course and distance in 2024. What is the Staking Plan and How Does a 1pt Win System Work?
We advise each bet as a win single or sometimes as an each way single. You can of course choose to combine the selections in a multiple bet, a Lucky 15 or a Yankee etc and that is a very popular way to follow the horses selected in this column daily.
A 1pt win per horse is advised in general and that means whatever your normal stake is for a bet is used as a point. For many this is £1 and for some this is £10 or more but it is totally relative to the individual and shouldn’t be more than you can afford to lose at any time.
For each way selections we advise a 0.5pt each way stake. So as with the win selections this would be a £1 total bet (50 pence each way) or a £10 total bet (£5 each way).
