Tip 1 - 2:18 Chepstow - Timeforarum
Back to form in fine style last time out when hammering the opposition at Ffos Las. He has gone up 5lb for that win, but in a weak field, he should be able to cope with that rise. His trainer did say the improvement was down to running on heavy ground, but Timeforarum’s previous win was on good to soft, so today’s surface should be of no inconvenience to him.

Tip 2 - 3:07 Southwell - Clipsham Noble
Plenty of fairly poor form on offer here, as you’d expect for this grade at this time of year. The interesting-looking one is Clipsham Noble. Tried over a range of trips for his previous yard, he never quite found his ideal one. Still, he managed a win and four placed efforts in a productive summer last year before his form tailed off. Now switched to the Charlie Clover yard that’s bagged six winners from 14 runners this season, it would be no shock to see a return to form.

Tip 3 - 3:28 Warwick - El Rojo Grande
El Rojo Grande could scarcely have asked for a better 2026 so far with a hat-trick followed by two close seconds to firmly establish himself as one of the most in-form horses at this grade. Today poses a new challenge for him in a distance he’s not raced at for three years, but it’s only half a furlong longer than his last outing, and he enjoyed good ground last season so neither should be an issue today.

Tip 4 - 3:50 Chepstow - River Voyage
This mammoth trip is a step into the unknown for plenty of these, but River Voyage has given the impression that the extra mileage would be right up his street. Winner over three miles on heavy ground three times in his career, he is tried at nearly four miles for the first time. There is a question mark over whether the ground will be too firm, but his form is such that we want to chance it. Toby McCain-Mitchell was on board for his win last time out and takes another handy five pounds off.

What is the Staking Plan and How Does a 1pt Win System Work?
We advise each bet as a win single or sometimes as an each way single. You can of course choose to combine the selections in a multiple bet, a Lucky 15 or a Yankee etc and that is a very popular way to follow the horses selected in this column daily.
A 1pt win per horse is advised in general and that means whatever your normal stake is for a bet is used as a point. For many this is £1 and for some this is £10 or more but it is totally relative to the individual and shouldn’t be more than you can afford to lose at any time.
For each way selections we advise a 0.5pt each way stake. So as with the win selections this would be a £1 total bet (50 pence each way) or a £10 total bet (£5 each way).
