Tip 2 - 1:27 Kempton - American Flight

Tip 3 - 1:45 Ayr - Truckers Cruising

Tip 4 - 2:27 Kempton - Studious

Studious seems a bit of an all-or-nothing type, where he has three wins and a third from nine all-weather races and the rest he has finished no better than half way down the field. There is talent in there, and particularly for today’s race.

While carrying top weight, he has won from this weight previously and is no stranger to competing from a mark in the 70s. This three-year-old’s best is better than any others in the race, but the inconsistency means you can’t say that with as much confidence as you’d like.

What is the Staking Plan and How Does a 1pt Win System Work?

We advise each bet as a win single or sometimes as an each way single. You can of course choose to combine the selections in a multiple bet, a Lucky 15 or a Yankee etc and that is a very popular way to follow the horses selected in this column daily.

A 1pt win per horse is advised in general and that means whatever your normal stake is for a bet is used as a point. For many this is £1 and for some this is £10 or more but it is totally relative to the individual and shouldn’t be more than you can afford to lose at any time. 

For each way selections we advise a 0.5pt each way stake. So as with the win selections this would be a £1 total bet (50 pence each way) or a £10 total bet (£5 each way).
