Tip 1 - 12:30 Bangor - Jacks Parrot
It has been a while since Jacks Parrot tried his hand over hurdles rather than the larger obstacles, but it might look like a good bit of placing come the end of the race. The forecast conditions suggest this could end up a real stamina test. That would play to the strengths of Jacks Parrot, who ran very well over a marathon three mile, six furlong trip last time out.

Tip 2 - 2.00 Bangor - Richmond Lake
It’s been almost two years since Richmond Lake last tasted victory, but noteworthy form of 4232P8 last season gives hope that he can finally get back over the hump. He ran well in a Grade 3 handicap earlier this year over slightly further than today’s distance 3m and was unfortunate to have to pull up at Cheltenham. Wind surgery in August and a two-year low mark of 137 should help him, too.

Tip 3 - 2:20 Ayr - Both Barrels
Conditions look spot on for the returning Both Barrels here, provided he can go well fresh. Has never run on ground better than soft, so today’s soft, heavy in places should be perfect, and he comfortably won over course and distance when last seen in March. Up seven pounds for that but shouldn’t have any issues if returning in the same form.
Tip 4 - 2:50 Ayr - Sixmilebridge
A small but select field for this Beginners’ Chase. Derryhassen Paddy was a brave third in the Albert Bartlett at the Cheltenham Festival in March, which is by far the best form on offer here. Down half a mile in trip today, he could struggle to deal with the pace of Sixmilebridge. Fergal O’Brien’s gelding picked up a Grade 2 en route to Cheltenham himself last season, where he finished down the field in the Turners. There’s not much to separate the pair on ratings, but Sixmilebridge has more in his favour at this distance.

What Are the Average Advised Odds of Our Tips?
We tip a minimum of 3 horses per day across the UK and Irish racing and the average starting price of our selections is a remarkable 4/1 over hundreds and hundreds of tips this year.
What is the Staking Plan and How Does a 1pt Win System Work?
We advise each bet as a win single or sometimes as an each way single. You can of course choose to combine the selections in a multiple bet, a Lucky 15 or a Yankee etc and that is a very popular way to follow the horses selected in this column daily.
A 1pt win per horse is advised in general and that means whatever your normal stake is for a bet is used as a point. For many this is £1 and for some this is £10 or more but it is totally relative to the individual and shouldn’t be more than you can afford to lose at any time.
For each way selections we advise a 0.5pt each way stake. So as with the win selections this would be a £1 total bet (50 pence each way) or a £10 total bet (£5 each way).
