Tip 1 - 1:30 Chepstow - Henry Box Brown
It’s been a year of ups and downs for Henry Box Brown, who has finished second in three of his last five races but was also nowhere in the other two outings. Nevertheless, he won twice over fences last year and came second in his most recent run, a 2m7f effort at Worcester, so could be able to take advantage of a field that is largely inexperienced at this distance.

Tip 2 - 2:30 Chepstow - Kadastral
A very exciting hurdling prospect out of the Skelton yard if his form from his two bumper runs translates over hurdles. A second place finish on debut behind a smart prospect now rated 118 was followed by an impressive performance in a valuable bumper at Newbury at the back end of last season. If his hurdling technique is decent he has the engine to move comfortably away from these.

Tip 3 - 3:00 Chepstow - Roysse
Current favourite, The Kemble Brewery, has some pretty strong form and was thought good enough to go off at 10/1 in a Grade 3 in March. So he is a danger, but it is difficult to ignore the form of the Ben Pauling yard at present. He has six winners and four places from his last 15 to post, and Roysse looks interesting on chase debut. Won a bumper and maiden last season and was also sent off in a Grade 2 hurdle at 15/2, so there is some confidence in his ability. Has a decent record when fresh so seasonal reappearance shouldn’t be a problem.

Tip 4 - 3:15 Dundalk – Stone Bear
Stone Bear has shown precious little in three career starts to date, having been beaten by an aggregate of 42 lengths. She was sent off at huge odds on all starts, but better can be expected now she goes handicapping off a lowly mark of 57 following a three month break. There’s been some early morning money around for her and the Ross O’Sullivan yard has had six winners from their last 26 runners.

What Are the Average Advised Odds of Our Tips?
We tip a minimum of 3 horses per day across the UK and Irish racing and the average starting price of our selections is a remarkable 4/1 over hundreds and hundreds of tips this year.
What is the Staking Plan and How Does a 1pt Win System Work?
We advise each bet as a win single or sometimes as an each way single. You can of course choose to combine the selections in a multiple bet, a Lucky 15 or a Yankee etc and that is a very popular way to follow the horses selected in this column daily.
A 1pt win per horse is advised in general and that means whatever your normal stake is for a bet is used as a point. For many this is £1 and for some this is £10 or more but it is totally relative to the individual and shouldn’t be more than you can afford to lose at any time.
For each way selections we advise a 0.5pt each way stake. So as with the win selections this would be a £1 total bet (50 pence each way) or a £10 total bet (£5 each way).
