Tip 1 - 1:15 Sedgefield - Inferno Sacree

Plenty of these arrive completely out of form for this low-grade handicap hurdle. One of the exceptions is Inferno Sacree. He was running consistently well at this level when last seen in April and makes his racecourse return with trainer Nigel Hawke having two winners and a runner up from his last three runners. The small yard won’t have made the 750-mile round trip to Sedgefield just to take in the sights, and he looks the one to beat.

Tip 2 - 1:45 Sedgefield - Natural Ability

Natural Ability typically goes well at Sedgefield, and this is proven by a course-and-distance win last winter when he won fairly comfortably after taking the lead a couple of furlongs out. He also finished fourth of 10 here a few weeks before that and was on track to challenge again in February if not for a fall at the penultimate fence.

Tip 3 - 1:55 Kempton - Springs A Girl

Springs A Girl returns to hurdling after a couple of chase runs to start the season and could be well handicapped if the form of her chase debut is to be believed. Second that day to a horse now rated in the 130s. so 115 here seems well within reach. Had a couple of decent performances in novice company last season and as long as stamina is there should be there or thereabouts.

What is the Staking Plan and How Does a 1pt Win System Work?

We advise each bet as a win single or sometimes as an each way single. You can of course choose to combine the selections in a multiple bet, a Lucky 15 or a Yankee etc and that is a very popular way to follow the horses selected in this column daily.

A 1pt win per horse is advised in general and that means whatever your normal stake is for a bet is used as a point. For many this is £1 and for some this is £10 or more but it is totally relative to the individual and shouldn’t be more than you can afford to lose at any time. 

For each way selections we advise a 0.5pt each way stake. So as with the win selections this would be a £1 total bet (50 pence each way) or a £10 total bet (£5 each way).
