Tip 1 - 2:05 Epsom - Pacific Mission
There isn’t anything top notch in this Group 3, with the favourite Shes Perfect unable to finish off her races and probably won’t scare any of these off. With that in mind Pacific Mission could make great use of her weight allowances, getting at least 12lb off her rivals and 15lb from Sparks Fly, she could be flying home at the finish with improvement to come from this lightly raced filly.

Tip 2 - 3:15 Epsom - Kinswoman
Drawn way out in 17, Kinswoman could be ideally placed if the ground comes up as soft as it’s expected to. William Haggas’ filly is on the up, winning three and finishing second (by a neck or less) three times in her last six runs. Her explosive early pace is sure to translate well to Epsom and she might not see another horse. She has form at tricky tracks like Chester and Brighton, which suggest she’ll be able to handle Epsom without any fuss.

Tip 3 - 4:00 Epsom - Item
This would have to be quite the step up to win the Derby, but the way that Item won going away in the Group Dante last month makes us believe he could be good enough for that. The Frankel colt has won all before him so far, and there’s no reason to believe he won’t compete. The length of the race is an unknown, but going away at just one-and-a-half furlongs less at York bodes well here.

What is the Staking Plan and How Does a 1pt Win System Work?
We advise each bet as a win single or sometimes as an each way single. You can of course choose to combine the selections in a multiple bet, a Lucky 15 or a Yankee etc and that is a very popular way to follow the horses selected in this column daily.
A 1pt win per horse is advised in general and that means whatever your normal stake is for a bet is used as a point. For many this is £1 and for some this is £10 or more but it is totally relative to the individual and shouldn’t be more than you can afford to lose at any time.
For each way selections we advise a 0.5pt each way stake. So as with the win selections this would be a £1 total bet (50 pence each way) or a £10 total bet (£5 each way).
