Tip 1 - 2:45 Yarmouth - Anyasi
Anyasi’s debut run looks a lot better than it did at the time. The winner that day was Alparslan who has won the Greenham since and is now rated 112, and the horse who finished behind him The Resdev Scholar has won three times since. Anyasi even ran green that day so if there is any more professionalism from him he will be tough to catch.

Tip 2 - 3:08 Nottingham - Fractional
The sole filly in the lineup here, Fractional, looks hugely interesting. She qualified for a rating after her last run, which came in a listed race that was beyond her. A mark of 83 seems a touch on the steep side, so it’s no surprise she avoids handicaps for now. Connections are quick to reach for headgear and, in receipt of plenty of weight from her rivals, notably 12 pounds from Decade Of Time, she looks to have a massive chance.

Tip 3 - 3:20 Yarmouth - Thunder Star
Thunder Star is an appropriate name given the weather around the area in the last couple of days, and it is her aptitude in wetter conditions that could give her the edge today. Not had a win since March last year but ran really well last time to be beaten by a head. Mark of 70 remains intact. Had two course-and-distance seconds here last year from marks of 72 and 74, as well as two CD wins from previously too. Has won on soft ground before and should be a player here.

Tip 4 - 3.42 Nottingham - Swift Salian
This race looks absolutely wide open and for that reason it’s worth looking down the market at Swift Salian, who hasn’t won for a year but has been in good form in 2026 with a pair of seconds in April. There is a concern about his rating creeping up despite not actually winning, but his second place at Musselburgh last time out showed he’s more than capable and he only goes up 1lb today.

What is the Staking Plan and How Does a 1pt Win System Work?
We advise each bet as a win single or sometimes as an each way single. You can of course choose to combine the selections in a multiple bet, a Lucky 15 or a Yankee etc and that is a very popular way to follow the horses selected in this column daily.
A 1pt win per horse is advised in general and that means whatever your normal stake is for a bet is used as a point. For many this is £1 and for some this is £10 or more but it is totally relative to the individual and shouldn’t be more than you can afford to lose at any time.
For each way selections we advise a 0.5pt each way stake. So as with the win selections this would be a £1 total bet (50 pence each way) or a £10 total bet (£5 each way).
