Tip 4 - 4:10 Doncaster - Waasil

Al Wathba has a clear chance, having won on the all-weather over this trip last time out at Kempton. His assured stamina is a big plus on his handicap debut. At the prices though, preference is for Waasil. He made it two wins in a row when last seen, beating a horse from the same owners as Al Wathba at Newbury in July. That horse (Victory Gold) has won since, giving the form real substance. Waasil looks to have a solid chance of landing the hat-trick.

What is the Staking Plan and How Does a 1pt Win System Work?

We advise each bet as a win single or sometimes as an each way single. You can of course choose to combine the selections in a multiple bet, a Lucky 15 or a Yankee etc and that is a very popular way to follow the horses selected in this column daily.

A 1pt win per horse is advised in general and that means whatever your normal stake is for a bet is used as a point. For many this is £1 and for some this is £10 or more but it is totally relative to the individual and shouldn’t be more than you can afford to lose at any time.

For each way selections we advise a 0.5pt each way stake. So as with the win selections this would be a £1 total bet (50 pence each way) or a £10 total bet (£5 each way).
