In races between one mile and 1m1f this year, he’s displayed form of 3159122, and goes off at a rating of effectively 59 today thanks to Cian Horgan claiming 3lbs, which is only a couple of pounds higher than a mark he’s won at before.

Tip 2 - 3:15 Carlisle - Girl Scout

Rogue Passion sets a decent standard here, having lost out by a short head over course and distance a month ago. That was her second run, and a massive step up on her debut. However, we may see similar progression from Karl Burke’s Girl Scout. She raced handily on debut before looking a little inexperienced when coming under pressure. Once she got the hang of things, she ran on to finish a close fifth. She should be a little more streetwise today and could give the favourite plenty to think about.

Tip 3 - 3:30 Lingfield - She Commands

After two decent wins on the all-weather, She Commands was tried in the Sandringham Stakes on handicap debut and was never in the contest. Back down to the much calmer waters of a Class 4 on the all-weather, she should go much closer. Is 2-2 on all-weather, and while giving away plenty of weight to the favourite, plenty appears to be in her favour. The big-priced Deedaydiva could be one to watch if taking to all-weather ground for the first time too.

What is the Staking Plan and How Does a 1pt Win System Work?

We advise each bet as a win single or sometimes as an each way single. You can of course choose to combine the selections in a multiple bet, a Lucky 15 or a Yankee etc and that is a very popular way to follow the horses selected in this column daily.

A 1pt win per horse is advised in general and that means whatever your normal stake is for a bet is used as a point. For many this is £1 and for some this is £10 or more but it is totally relative to the individual and shouldn’t be more than you can afford to lose at any time.

For each way selections we advise a 0.5pt each way stake. So as with the win selections this would be a £1 total bet (50 pence each way) or a £10 total bet (£5 each way).
