Placepots Explained

Placepots are available on all UK and Irish horse racing meetings. Make a selection or selections in each of the first six races on the card. Your selection needs to place in the race in order to be a winning choice. If you have a placed selection in all six races, your bet is a winner. 

Multiple horses can be chosen in the same race in order to spread your liabilities, but this will increase your stake. As a pool bet, the payout, known as the dividend, is based on the number of people who won. If favourites place in every race, chances are more people chose them, so the payout will be lower.
