After two seasons of fighting Premier League relegation, Tottenham fans are desperate to return to relevance near the top of the table.

A turbulent 2024/25 campaign saw Ange Postecoglou sacrifice league progress for Europa League glory, which he succeeded in doing, but it wasn't enough for a third season in charge. His replacement Thomas Frank lasted until February before he was sacked with Spurs in 16th. Igor Tudor came in on an interim basis but left after overseeing five losses in his seven games in charge.

Finally, it was the turn of Roberto De Zerbi, who came in with seven games left and did enough to lead Tottenham to safety, with a 1-0 win over Everton on the final day confirming their spot in this season's Premier League.

De Zerbi now has the task of guiding Spurs back to the Champions League places, as they were for much of the time between 2010 and 2024. The former Brighton manager has a few shiny new toys to play with, too, having spent almost £250 million on Sandro Tonali, Mateus Fernandes and Jan Paul van Hecke whilst also bringing in Andy Robertson and Marcos Senesi on free transfers.

But how will it pan out for Tottenham this season? Will they challenge for European spots once again or remain in ignominy near the bottom of the table? We've taken a look at how betting sites think they'll fare in 2026/27.

Tottenham Hotspur Premier League Winner Odds

Going from being minutes away from relegation to winning the Premier League would be nothing short of a miracle for Tottenham, hence why football betting sites are comfortable giving them a decent chunk of rope and keeping them away from the top few favourites.

That's hardly a surprise, of course, considering that Spurs' squad doesn't stack up on paper to the usual suspects. They've also not legitimately challenged for the Premier League title since 2015/16.

That said, whilst the odds do confirm it's an unlikely scenario, it's possibly not as farfetched as people might think. Spurs were blighted by injuries under Postecoglou and Frank. And whilst that certainly isn't to be solely blamed for two seasons of finishing 17th, having the likes of James Maddison, Dejan Kulusevski, Dominic Solanke and Mohammed Kudus available again can only help.

As well, De Zerbi boasts a strong track record in the Premier League after an impressive two years at Brighton and could be the man to get the best out of his squad at Tottenham.

Spurs Premier League Top Four Betting

A more likely, and more attractive, proposition comes in the shape of Top Four betting. Spurs are still on the outside looking in compared to other rivals at the head of the market, but given how competitive the top four has been in recent seasons, this looks worthy of attention.

A points tally in the mid-to-late 60s should be enough to claim fourth, whether that be Tottenham or someone else, and that looks well within reach. There's some apprehension from Apple Pay betting sites regarding teams not named Arsenal this season, with Liverpool and Chelsea under particular scrutiny.

Not having European football will certainly help in this regard, too, as it means longer rest between games and no continental travel, which should allow an injury-prone squad to recover.

Top four would guarantee Champions League football, of course, and that is probably at the upper end of Spurs' ambitions this season despite the boatload of money they've spent in summer.

Spurs Premier League Bottom Half Betting

Obviously, there are two ways to bet on Spurs here: to finish in the top half or to finish in the bottom half. It may not be a surprise that betting on Tottenham to be 10th or higher after 38 games is a potentially prohibitively skinny price, but may prove to be a popular addition to pre-season accumulators.

Ending the season in the top half is likely the bare minimum for De Zerbi, given the strength of Spurs' squad and the almost obscene money spent in the transfer window so far, with some leeway likely to be given after the domestic disaster that has been the last two seasons.

It is, however, safe to say that another bottom-half finish would be fairly catastrophic. And yet it feels distinctly possible. Xavi Simons was one of the few bright sparks last season but is out until at least the new year with a torn ACL, whilst the host of players coming back from long-term absences may require some bedding in time that will put Spurs on the backfoot from the word go.

The odds at cash out betting sites suggest that whilst it's not a likely proposition, there is some trepidation about making their odds too long.

Spurs Relegation Odds

Surely they won't be down there again, right? Whilst relegation was never an actual possibility in 2024/25, hence Postecoglou's confidence in shunning the Premier League to win the Europa League, last season would've been eyes-through-hands stuff for Spurs.

They actually started well under Frank last term, earning 17 points from their first nine games before everything imploded, so there may not be unbridled positivity even if De Zerbi's opening gambit delivers some good results.

It's clear from the Tottenham Premier League relegation odds at £5 deposit betting sites that they're not expecting yet another campaign with Spurs near the bottom, but it's worth noting that they were priced at around 40/1 before last season as well.
