England have now completed their Euro 2024 qualifying campaign, and attention has turned towards the players who will be selected by Gareth Southgate for next summer's finals.

While a number of players have their spots nailed down barring injury, there are plenty of spaces still up for grabs. Rico Lewis and Cole Palmer were recent inclusions in the England squad, and the two youngsters have a chance of being on the plane, according to the latest betting odds.

The Chelsea midfielder is making a big impact this season. He starred during a recent 4-4 draw against Manchester City, which included the 21-year-old scoring a late penalty. Meanwhile, Lewis won a man of the match award for his performance in North Macedonia and will hope to break into the final 23-man squad,

The betting apps allow customers to bet on any player to make the England Euro 2024 squad, and the odds suggest that Raheem Sterling might have played his last game for England. It's also likely that Mason Mount won't be heading to Germany next summer, with Newcastle goalkeeper Nick Pope also set to miss out despite playing regular domestic and Champions League football right now.

Betting sites think that Jordan Henderson is likely to be included, with Chelsea defenders Reece James, Ben Chilwell and Levi Colwill also expected to be included.

How England's Euro 2024 Squad Might Look

While plenty can change between now and Gareth Southgate naming his 23-man England squad for Euro 2024, we have a reasonable idea of how the roster might look if the announcement was made right now.

GOALKEEPERS
Jordan Pickford
Aaron Ramsdale
Sam Johnstone

Jordan Pickford remains England's number one goalkeeper, although Aaron Ramsdale is looking less assured of getting the nod after recently losing his place in the Arsenal team. Southgate appears to prefer Sam Johnstone to Nick Pope despite the Newcastle keeper having earned rave reviews this season.

DEFENDERS
Kyle Walker
Kieran Trippier
John Stones
Harry Maguire
Marc Guehi
Lewis Dunk
Levi Colwill

Harry Maguire remained a constant in the England squad despite regularly warming the bench for Manchester United, but he is now back in the fold at Old Trafford. Lewis Dunk could also be on the plane, along with former Brighton team-mate Levi Colwill, who has played a lot for Chelsea this term.

MIDFIELDERS
Declan Rice
Jude Bellingham
Kalvin Phillips
Jordan Henderson
Trent Alexander-Arnold
Conor Gallagher

Trent Alexander-Arnold is now regarded as a midfielder by Gareth Southgate, and he's likely to be included along with bankers such as Declan Rice and Jude Bellingham. It also appears the manager is a fan of Kalvin Phillips, while vice-captain Jordan Henderson may also be involved.

FORWARDS
Harry Kane
Bukayo Saka
Jack Grealish
Phil Foden
Marcus Rashford
James Maddison
Ollie Watkins

Many of the players pick themselves among the forwards, with James Maddison's place looking assured. It might be that Ollie Watkins is battling it out with Eddie Nketiah and Callum Wilson for one available berth.

Could Palmer and Lewis Break into England Euro 2024 Squad?

Cole Palmer was a surprise call-up to the recent England squad, with the Chelsea player getting the chance to impress when earning a first cap against Malta before a late substitute appearance a few days later in North Macedonia.

The 21-year-old made the switch from Manchester City to Chelsea in the summer, and the odds for him to make England's Euro 2024 squad have tumbled in the past few weeks, with Palmer now a realistic contender to be on the plane to Germany. He has plenty of time to continue impressing Gareth Southgate who appears to have given up on Raheem Sterling despite the fact that the latter has made 82 international appearances.

Sterling is having a pretty strong season for Chelsea, although the fact that he continues to be overlooked means that his football betting odds continue to drift on the market.

The opposite is true of Rico Lewis who was named Man of the Match after a star performance against North Macedonia, with the Manchester City man now hoping that he gets regular Premier League game time for Manchester City in order to book his seat on the plane.

Lewis is a versatile player who can play as a full-back or a midfielder, with the 19-year-old definitely a contender according to the latest betting odds.

Watkins Ahead of Bowen and Nketiah in England Pecking Order

Eddie Nketiah might have recently earned his first England cap, but the bookies take a dim view when it comes to his prospects of making the final cut.  The Arsenal forward was left out of the latest squad and would need a number of other forwards to be injured in order to make the squad.

Jarrod Bowen has represented his country on five occasions and the West Ham forward was in the latest squad. The same applies to Ollie Watkins and it could be that the pair are battling it out for one available spot in the England Euro 2024 squad.

Both players have been in excellent form for the Hammers and Aston Villa respectively, although Watkins is trading at odds-on with the bookies and he would probably get the nod if the squad was announced today.

Chilwell, James and Colwill Odds-On For Euro 2024 Squad

Chelsea have a trio of defenders hoping to line up for England next summer, with Ben Chilwell, Reece James and Levi Colwill all odds-on to be included in the Three Lions squad for Euro 2024. However, it's only Colwill who has shone in the Premier League this season, with James and Chilwell sidelined and the former has experienced particularly bad fortune with injury.

The bookies now think that the uncapped Colwill has a higher than 50% probability of representing England at Euro 2024, with the defender having been handed his first international appearance against Australia and he's versatile enough to play in central defence and full-back.

According to football betting apps, the 20-year-old centre-half Colwill is odds-on to be part of the 23-man squad for Euro 2024. He has played every minute of Chelsea's Premier League encounters and he has now added to the 11 appearances for England U21's with a senior cap.

Maddison More Likely Than Henderson to Make Three Lions Squad

Leading up to the 2022 World Cup, James Maddison had more goal involvements than any other English player, and the massive clamour for the former Leicester City midfielder to be included in Gareth Southgate’s 26-man squad led to the playmaker being called up.

Maddison had a few injury problems during the 2022/23 season, although the fact that he was called up for the first Euro 2024 qualifiers and has now retained his place in the squad suggests he's now a preferred option for Southgate, especially after a big-money move to Tottenham Hotspur where he's produced a series of outstanding performances to help the team hit the top of the Premier League.

Jordan Henderson has made 77 appearances for England and was prominent for the Three Lions at the 2022 World Cup, although many wondered if a controversial move to Al-Ettifaq would spell the end of his international career.

However, the 33-year-old continues to be selected, and the latest betting odds with new betting sites suggest that he could yet make the 23-man squad that represents England at Euro 2024, although the decision to leave the Premier League might have reduced his chance of being included.

Bookies Expecting Manchester City Contingent to Be Included

New betting sites are sure to suggest that a number of Manchester City players will be included in the squad, with John Stones, Kyle Walker, Phil Foden, Jack Grealish and Kalvin Phillips among them.

It is clear that Gareth Southgate is more likely to pick a player at Manchester City than any other club, with Phillips getting the nod in the latest squad despite a distinct lack of football for the Citizens since arriving from Leeds. Walker and Stones remain reliable defensive assets, while Grealish and Foden surely need to remain fit and they will be included in future England squads now that both players have broken into the England setup.

Alexander-Arnold Also Set for Germany

Trent Alexander-Arnold remains a divisive figure among football fans, with the Liverpool full-back having been part of the 26-man squad that represented England in Qatar, although one always suspected that was partly down to Reece James being injured.

James was temporarily back to full fitness in March and that led to Alexander-Arnold being omitted from that particular Three Lions squad. However, the Liverpool defender has now returned to the set-up after finding some excellent form for his club, although injury prevents him being involved against Ukraine and Scotland.

Although Trent was listed as a defender in the previous England call-up information, Southgate has started to deploy the versatile player in a central midfield role. Jurgen Klopp has increasingly been giving this talented player the chance to play further forward. Interestingly, it's a similar role to the one John Stones has started to take up for Manchester City.

Mount Could Struggle to Make Three Lions Squad

Mason Mount was trading at odds-on to be in England's Euro 2024 squad, although there's no certainty that the midfielder will be included in the 23-man squad. It's been a while since the Manchester United man demonstrated his international quality, with the 24-year-old having made 36 appearances for his country and scoring five goals.
