One day after the Philadelphia 76ers announced a multi-year NBA betting partnership with England-based Betway, another team made the pivot Wednesday to jump on board.

The Miami Heat and Betway announced Wednesday a multi-year partnership, where Betway will become an official partner and the preferred free-to-play gaming partner of the South Florida NBA franchise.

Betway Has Deals With Several NBA Teams

One of a number of deals between sportsbooks and NBA teams, this partnership marks Betway’s eighth in the NBA. In addition to the NBA betting agreement with the 76ers, the operator also has deals with the Brooklyn Nets and Chicago Bulls in states with legal sports betting, and the Cleveland Cavaliers, Dallas Mavericks, Golden State Warriors and Los Angeles Clippers in states without legal sports betting.

Florida is in the process of getting sports betting launched but it has not been activated yet.

Betway signage and branding presence will be throughout the home of the Heat, FTX Arena, including LED courtside and baseline aprons.

“Following further growth in the U.S., we’re thrilled to be partnering with the Miami Heat,” Betway CEO Anthony Werkman said in a news release. “Miami is a fantastic city where sport is a huge passion, and we look forward to sharing the thrill with fans of the three-time NBA championship winning side.”

Coming off an impressive 106-93 road victory Wednesday at Brooklyn, the Heat (3-1) will host the Charlotte Hornets (3-1) Friday with tipoff set for 7:30 p.m. ET (ESPN).
