DraftKings is the fourth operator to receive approval from the Arizona Department of Gaming to launch sports betting in Arizona.

The DraftKings news, which was confirmed by Bookies.com Thursday afternoon, comes on the heels of three other similar approvals by the department this week.

The other three included FanDuel and the Phoenix Suns; Penn National Gaming/Barstool Sports and Phoenix International Raceway; and BetMGM, partnering with the Arizona Cardinals and Gila River Community.

Additionally, reports say that PointsBet, in partnership with the Yavapai-Apache Nation and Cliff Castle Casino Hotel, has been approved.

Early registration for sports betting in Arizona can begin at 12:01 a.m. (local time) Saturday, the same day that daily fantasy sports offerings launch in the state. The state plans to go live with sports betting on Sept. 9, the first day of the NFL season, just in time for NFL betting.

Daily fantasy sports operators can launch on Saturday. Operators will find out Friday if they have received approval.
