It has been a busy summer already for Juventus, the club already confirming the signings of Aaron Ramsey, Adrien Rabiot and Luca Pellegrini as they prepare for Maurizio Sarri’s first season in charge.

The former Chelsea boss may also have Matthijs de Ligt at his disposal as talks for the Ajax defender continue apace, but attention is now beginning to turn towards who may leave Turin before the 2019/20 campaign gets underway.

Blaise Matuidi, Sami Khedira and Gonzalo Higuain are all expected to move on, but there has also been a steady stream of rumours linking Paulo Dybala with an exit.

The Argentina international has spent the last four years with the Bianconeri, but last term found himself somewhat marginalised following the arrival of Cristiano Ronaldo.

Struggling to play alongside the Portuguese megastar saw Dybala endure his worst season yet with Juve, a tally of five league goals marking his worst return since he was a bit-part player with Palermo back in 2012/13.

Juventus Pecking Order

Given that Mario Mandzukic and Federico Bernardeschi surpassed him in the pecking order and Dybala was the Old Lady’s second-highest earner behind Ronaldo, it is no surprise that his future is shrouded in speculation.

Paddy Power believe the most likely outcome is that he remains in Turin, the bookmaker offering odds of just 11/10 (+110) that Dybala remains a Juventus player when the summer transfer window closes.

That would fit neatly with Sarri’s comments at his inaugural press conference last month, the Coach taking time to praise Dybala as he discussed how he will decide what formation best suits the Bianconeri squad.

"You have to start with the talented players who can make the difference like Cristiano, Paulo and Douglas [Costa], and build around them,” Sarri told reporters, going on to add that Dybala and Ronaldo “can play in any role.”

Dybala Transfer Speculation

Yet being Ronaldo’s understudy did not appear to sit well with the Argentina international, who is still just 25 years of age.

“Yes, there is a good chance he’ll leave Juventus. Absolutely. He needs a change,” his brother and agent Gustavo told Argentinian radio show Futbolemico back in May.

“I can’t say where he’ll go, but there is a strong chance Paulo will leave. Of course he’s not happy there. Paulo’s not the only one as many players are uncomfortable at Juve.”

News that Atletico Madrid’s Antoine Griezmann is set for a £107 million move to Barcelona has freed up funds for one highly touted suitor, with La Gazzetta dello Sport’s Nicolò Shira reporting that the Spanish club are “serious” about Dybala and have offered him a five-year-deal worth around €9 million per season.

Betfair are offering odds of 11/4 (+275) that he will make the move to Madrid, the same odds they offer on a deal with Manchester United, a club he has been linked with for quite some time now, while Bayern – available at odds of 7/1 (+700) – continue to be an option.

So too do 11/4 (+275) shots Inter as talk of a potential swap deal with Mauro Icardi has been widely reported, although in recent weeks that story has faded into the background somewhat.

Juventus clearly have work to do to trim their wage bill following a number of high-profile arrivals, but it is uncertain whether sacrificing Paulo Dybala is a price they are willing to pay.
