The first season for Anthony Richardson as quarterback for the Indianapolis Colts was deemed incomplete; he managed just four games before injury ended his season.

Ask NFL experts what needs to improve for the Colts to take the next step – or at least keep up with the surging Houston Texans in the AFC South – and you’ll get a lot of different answers. 

But it starts at cornerback. While Kenny Moore is considered a Top 20 CB in the NFL, rookie second-rounder JuJu Brents started eight games but durability was a concern when he was drafted, and a concern all season. Teams can’t have enough good CBs, however, and Indy appears to have made it a top priority. 

They’re sitting at a great spot to secure a top-level corner. Quinyon Mitchell of Toledo is considered a plus-and-play corner, with size and all the tangibles to compete at the highest level.

Arnold’s Crimson Tide counterpart, Kool-Aid McKinstry, and Clemson’s Nate Wiggins should be available at No. 15 as well. 

Indy has other directions it could go, including tight end. Georgia’s Brock Bowers is a freak athlete and massive contributor and would be an immediate help while offering a huge target for Richardson. That could get the nod over CB.
