Bill Belichick is everywhere this NFL season - except on the sidelines. Belichick has taken advantage of his name, expertise, and reputation to share his wisdom on TV, social media, podcasts, and any other form of media available. 

The Patriots and Belchick "parted ways" in January. Later, we learned that Robert Kraft fired him. No surprise there. He wasn't hired in the offseason despite being wooed by Atlanta, and a few other franchises. He had been “linked” to nearly a dozen teams by both credible and incredible sources. By not coaching this season, Belichick becomes more converted with each disastrous loss by the Cowboys, Jets, Giants, and others. 

Belichick is closing in on the record for most regular season wins and losses by an NFL head coach. Don Shula tops the list with 347 wins, including the postseason. Belichick is just 15 wins from passing Shula with 333 wins. Of course, 6 of those are Super Bowl victories with the Patriots. He also owns 2 other rings earned while being an assistant with the Giants.  He sits in a tie with Dan Reeves and Jeff Fisher at 165 for the most losses by a coach.

Belichick is free to coach anywhere without losing any money from the Patriots, or another team having to pay compensation to New England this season, But it's unlikely he'll jump into the NFL this season given his multiple obligations elsewhere.

Dallas Cowboys, +350

Jerry Jones rewarded Dak Prescott and CeeDee Lamb handsomely this offseason. The Cowboys have reached new levels of disappointment and dysfunction this season. Jones said this past weekend that he would not fire Mike McCarthy during the season. But nothing is assured after that. Any move here would depend on the presumed health of Prescott next season. And/or if the Cowboys finish low enough to be in position to possibly draft the likes of Shedeur Sanders. Belichick has lauded the talent on the Cowboys roster. This team is ready-made for Belichick to step in as a GM/Coach and give him the wins he needs to pass Shula on the all-time list in just 2 or 3 seasons. The marriage of Belichick and Jones could be a match made in heaven. Or elsewhere. That is the key for any gig he takes. Belichick's 23-year-old girlfriend was a championship cheerleader in college. Perhaps she wants to join the ranks of the Cowboys' cheerleading squad?

Chicago Bears, +450

This was the best value play in this market earlier in the season when Belichick was +1000 to end up in the Windy City. Belichick carries a tremendous amount of respect for the Halas Family and its place in NFL history. To coach an OG NFL franchise in a major city is an enticing lure. The Bears have lots of pieces at the ready. A solid defense. And a QB taken as the No. 1 overall pick in the NFL Draft in Caleb Williams. But Williams and the Bears have stalled under the leadership - or lack thereof - of head coach Matt Eberflus. The beleaguered Bears coach fired his OC Shane Waldron this week. He is out of scapegoats.

New York Giants, +650

The thought of Bill Belichick coaching the Giants, roaming the sidelines at MetLife in an oversized Big Blue winter coach is the dream of many-a-Giants fan. Never mind back-page tabloid editors. Not even Bruce Springsteen or Jon Bon Jovi could generate as much in The Garden State as BB coming home. The Mara Family is riding out this season with Daniel Jones (on the final year of his deal) and Brian Daboll. But once Black Monday falls on the calendar, the Maras will do whatever they can to lure Belichick back to the Meadowlands. But does Belichick want to take part in a rebuild at age (next year) 73. Especially with a team whose QB situation is in flux? Probably not. 

Philadelphia Eagles, +750

Eagles owner Jeffrey Lurie reportedly considered hiring Belichick this offseason. Belichick and Laurie have a solid relationship. And Laurie is generally a hands-off owner. Free reign to build and manage the roster would be paramount for Belichick in any new gig. He's still smarting over the way Patriots ownership purportedly pushed him to take Mac Jones in 2021. The Eagles have lots of pieces intact. Coach Nick Sirianni and QB Jalen Hurts still remain at odds. The Eagles are in a claw-fight with the Commanders to win the NFC East. Anything short of a Super Bowl will be a disappointment for Philly. And don't expect much brotherly love for Sirianni after another postseason disappointment.

New York Jets, +1000

This would be Belichick's second time coaching the Jets. He was HC of the NYJ for one day, back in January of 2000. The Jets offer plenty of appeal for Belichick. Aaron Rodgers, first and foremost. Jets owner Woody Johnson signed Davante Adams and fired Robert Saleh. That hasn't been enough for the Jets, who remain in a holding pattern outside the end zone. They began the season hoping to battle the Bills for AFC East bragging rights. Now, they're hoping to hold off the Patriots. Jets fans would quickly forget those "BELICHEAT" headlines if he were to take over in Florham Park. 

Cincinnati Bengals, +1400

On paper, this would be a terrific fit for Belichick. The Bengals are stocked with talent but bereft when it comes to winning. Joe Burrow is/should be a top tier NFL QB. And Cincy is ready-made to give Belichick a shot at Shula's record sooner rather than later. But does Belichick want to work for the Brown family? They might be willing to give him the keys to everything to make it happen. 

Cleveland Browns, +1500

Another potential homecoming. But not likely.

Belichick has more media gigs than Michael Strahan, Peyton Manning, and Ryan Seacrest combined. Or so it seems. His 23-year-old girlfriend was a championship cheerleader in college. She might want a gig at a place like Dallas. Crazier things have happened. SHe's enjoying his time on the screen. But it's not going to last. He wants Shula's coaching record. And he can't get that on TV.
