The San Francisco 49ers (NFC) and Baltimore Ravens (AFC) own the top spot in their respective conferences and are enjoying their second straight “bye” week, as each clinched homefield prior to Week 18.

This season was a dream in many ways for Park Avenue. Entering the final week of the season, 20 teams were still mathematically alive in the playoff chase.

The Cowboys iced the NFC East by beating the Commanders. The Bills took the AFC East title with their win at Miami Sunday night to close the regular season.

NFL 2024 Wild Card Weekend, Betting Predictions & Best Bets To Back 1

Saturday, January 13

(5) Cleveland Browns at (4) Houston Texans, 4:30 p.m. (NBC)

Buzz: At least this game isn't on Peacock. The Browns took a knee in Week 18, sitting most of their key players. Joe Flacco is tanned, rested, and ready for a playoff run. Offensive Rookie of the Year lock C.J. Stroud led Houston to a surprising AFC East title and this home game as Jacksonville collapsed down the stretch. The Browns are that AFC team that "no one want to face in the playoff." Flacco has thrown for more than 300 yards in his past 4 starts. This line has already moved from 2 to 2.5. Jump on it before it reaches 3 just in case.

Best Bet: Browns -2.5 (-115) with DraftKings Sportsbook

(6) Miami Dolphins at (3) Kansas City Chiefs, 8:15 p.m. (Peacock)

Buzz: In the greatest NFL TV marketing move since the ABC launched "Monday Night Football" in 1970, the NFL and NBC have shifted Taylor Swift cheering on her beau Travis Kelce to the streaming service "Peacock." The reaction on social media has been fierce. And it's only Monday. The Dolphins got smashed in the face by Baltimore and Buffalo over their final 2 games. Sunday night's was close on the scoreboard (21-14) but Miami's chance for a possible comeback ended with a Tua Tagovailoa pick. The Chiefs got this far riding their defense. And they've face Ty Hill in practice for years. Expect Mahomes and the fully-healed MaAuto to get it together this week. This line has already moved from 3 to -3.5, with the early money pouring in on KC Sunday night. The total has tumbled from 47.5 to 43.5. Temperatures are expected to be in the single digits Saturday night in Kansas City. Frozen Fish.

Best Bet: Chiefs -3.5 (-110) with DraftKings Sportsbook

Sunday, January 14

(7) Pittsburgh Steelers at (2) Buffalo Bills, 1 p.m. (CBS)

Buzz: The Bills stampeded their way to a 4th-straight AFC East title (#BillsMafiaDynasty) by winning their final 5 games, including a smash-mouth, defensively-driven win at Miami Sunday. Mason Rudolph has the Steelers on three-game winning streak heading into Orchard Park. But T.J. Watt is likely out for this one, pushing the number to 9.5. Winds are expected to be blowing around 30 MPH, which should limit both passing games. The Steelers have 5 straight losses against the AFC East. The Bills will keep the ball on the ground and control both lines of scrimmage.

Best Bet: Under 38.5 Points (-110) with DraftKings Sportsbook

(7) Green Bay Packers at (2) Dallas Cowboys, 4:30 p.m. (FOX)

Buzz: This could have been the "Ice Bowl II" given that it will be 10 degrees in Green Bay Sunday. But, this game is in the climate-control atmosphere of Jerry World. The Cowboys are on a 16-0 run at home. And Dallas is 4-2 ATS on lines of more than 7 points, and 5-2 when you add the extra half-point. Jordan Love came through against the Bears to clinch Green Bay's playoff berth. He's emerged as a franchise QB this season. But Dak and the 'Boys have much to prove this season, starting now in the playoffs.

Best Bet: Dallas -7.5 (-110) with DraftKings Sportsbook

(6) Los Angeles Rams at (3) Detroit Lions, 8:15 p.m. (NBC)

Buzz: The Rams and Lions swapped franchise QBs three years ago. Matthew Stafford and the Rams won a Super Bowl. Jared Goff and the Lions are poised for a playoff run as the No. 3 seed in the NFC.  The Lions finished 12-5 ATS this season and have the best record on the line combined of any NFL team since 2021. The Rams are 6-0 against NFC teams and are the NFC team . The Lions have to prove themselves in the postseason. Two things to expect Sunday night inside Ford Field: lots of noise and lots of points. These teams are averaging 55.2 PPG and the Lions have gone over the total in their past 4 home games.

Best Bet: Over 51.5 (-110) with DraftKings Sportsbook

Monday, January 15

(5) Philadelphia Eagles at (4) Tampa Bay Buccaneers, 8 p.m.  (ABC/ESPN)

Buzz: These two teams are reeling on offense. The Eagles fell apart during the final third of the season. The post-Super-Bowl loss hangover finally caught up with Jalen Hurts and his showing-signs-of-age offensive line. Today, Jalen hurts. He was benched with a hand injury in a Week 18 humiliation delivered by the Giants. The Buccaneers rode their defense and kicker Chase McLaughlin to third straight NFC South title, beating Carolina 9-0 in Week 18 to clinch it. The banged up Baker Mayfield had a solid season and should be healed by kickoff. There's no Curse of Tom Brady over Tampa Bay. The Eagles finished 6-8-3 ATS, failing to cover in their past 6 games. Philly's defense was 31st against the pass this season. Tampa Bay's defense was 29th. An offensive shootout? Don't be surprised. McLaughlin could prove to be the difference.

Best Bet: Tampa Bay ML (+120) with DraftKings Sportsbook
