It’s the final week of the 2021-2022 season and this is easily the most challenging week for DFS players and NFL betting fans. This is because so many teams are out of playoff contention or are considering resting players ahead of the playoffs.

The trick to succeeding in Week 18 is to find players from teams in which the games are meaningful. That way, you don't have to worry about players resting for the playoffs or the offseason. It seems simple, but it's pretty tough to do.

So without further ado, here are some of our favorite Week 18 daily fantasy stacks and our optimal lineup for a massive Sunday slate.

Best Week 18 DFS Stacks

Cardinals QB Kyler Murray ($7,400) and TE Zach Ertz ($5,300)

The Cardinals have to beat the Seahawks to have a chance of winning the NFC West. That means we will see their starters for the entire game on Sunday. Murray is starting to get back on track and has posted back-to-back performances of at least 21.5 DFS points. On the season, he's averaging 23.3 PPG and should be able to light up Seattle's defense on Sunday.

If you are going to play Murray this week, consider stacking him with Zach Ertz. Over the last three weeks, Ertz has seen 33 targets from Murray. As a result, he's become the most targeted receiver on the Cardinals and a pretty safe DFS option. With three straight games of at least 11 DFS points, don't be afraid to put Ertz into your lineup as he is a significant value at the TE position.

Saints QB Taysom Hill ($6,200) and WR Marquez Callaway ($5,000)

Since he became the full-time starter in Week 13, Hill has three games over 17 DFS points and two games over 26 points. He's one of the safer DFS plays this week, especially with the Saints going to Atlanta in Week 18. The Falcons can be gashed on the ground and that is where Hill thrives. He's an excellent bet to rush for over 40 yards and score a touchdown or two on the ground.

Callaway has not scored a touchdown since Hill became the starting quarterback, but that isn't due to a lack of opportunities. Over the last three games, Callaway has seen 24 targets and has turned those chances into 16 receptions for 255 yards. At only $5,000, Callaway is a nice flex option this week, considering he is the top receiver for the Saints.

Colts QB Carson Wentz ($5,800) and WR Michael Pittman Jr. ($5,900)

Another team that must win to make the playoffs this year is the Indianapolis Colts. They must beat the Jaguars in Jacksonville, but it’s worth noting that they haven’t won there since 2014. However, this would be a good week to play Carson Wentz. He did not play well against the Raiders in Week 17, but that could be due to testing positive for COVID-19 earlier in the week.

At just $5,800, he and Michael Pittman ($5,900) are good plays against one of the worst defenses in the NFL. The Colts must have this game, so expect them to play fast and with a sense of urgency. They will not want the Jaguars to hang around very long in this game. Look for Wentz and the Colts to be aggressive early in this contest.

Best NFL Week 18 DFS Team For Sunday’s Games

Pos. Player Matchup DraftKings
Price
QBCarson Wentz Colts vs Jaguars $5,800
RB D'Onta Foreman Titans vs Texans $5,700
RB Samaje Perine Browns vs Bengals $5,300
WR Cooper Kupp 49ers vs Rams $9,700
WR Christian Kirk Seahawks vs Cardinals $6,000
WR Michael Pittman Jr. Colts vs Jaguars $5,900
TE Hunter Henry Patriots vs Dolphins $4,000
FLEX Marquez Callaway Saints vs Falcons $5,000
D/ST Browns Browns vs Bengals $2,600

Note: Based on a $50,000 salary cap for the week and for Sunday daytime contests

Usually, paying nearly $10,000 for a single player isn’t a good strategy. Especially not for a wide receiver. However, Cooper Kupp is one of the safest options this week. Kupp needs just 136 yards to break Calvin Johnson’s record for most receiving yards in a season. It seems likely that the Rams are going to want him to get that record and it shouldn’t be all that hard to do as he’s averaging over 114 yards per game this season.

Expect Kupp to see 15 or more targets in this game and come close to breaking the record. For that reason, you need to find a way to get him into your lineup, as he's such a safe option in one of the most difficult DFS weeks of the season.
