NFL Survivor Pools have exploded in popularity, and at levels for all kinds of fans, from family pools to those with thousands of dollars in cash prizes on the line.

The simple nature of it is a major draw for NFL betting: Survivor Pools entail picking one team to win each week, but never picking the same team twice.

It's not how much your team wins by in a Survivor Pool. Simply, it's about picking a winner and moving on — and sometimes saving the biggest favorite for a future week.

Bookies.com senior handicapper and Survivor Pool veteran Adam Thompson shares his picks each week here, revealing his confident pick that gets you to the next week of your Survivor Pool and puts you in good position for future weeks.

Here is the pick for Week 13:

Las Vegas Raiders

The Raiders head to New York licking their wounds after a dismantling at the hands of the average Atlanta Falcons. Everything that could have gone wrong did, with Las Vegas committing five turnovers. Of Atlanta’s eight scoring drives, only three were longer than 35 yards, only two longer than 50. The Falcons only gained 304 total yards.

That was an anomaly. The Raiders lost 35-31 to the Chiefs in the final minute the week before, and prior to that had won three straight. They’ve beaten both the Chiefs and Saints.

You know who hasn’t beaten the Chiefs or Saints — or anyone else for that matter? The Jets. New York (0-11) might have been in its best position to win a game on Sunday, facing a Dolphins team that ranked in the bottom 10 in total offense and defense and was without starting QB Tua Tagovailoa. Instead, the Dolphins handled the Jets 20-3. It was the seventh time the Jets failed to score more than 13.

The Jets’ offense is horrible on historic levels and the defense, while seemingly improving, still ranks 30th vs. the pass. Derek Carr is in line for a big day and RBs Devante Booker and Josh Jacobs, the latter of whom had a critical fumble vs. the Falcons, will be motivated to bounce back despite a minor sprained ankle. Every Raider will be motivated to get its frustrations out from last week. There could be no better opponent to do that against.

Other Week 13 contenders:

Minnesota Vikings: The Vikings saved their season with a huge rally over the Panthers. They can’t let a highly winnable home game vs. the overmatched Jaguars slip by.

Seattle Seahawks: The Seahawks can’t stop many QBs who throw the ball at will, but Daniel Jones is improving (if he plays).

Baltimore Ravens: Normally a home date vs. the Cowboys would be a great spot. But who knows what the Ravens’ available roster will look like — and Dallas has offensive weaponry.
