Week 6 of the NFL betting means another game overseas, and a rest for the Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs. Here in the United States, the National Game of the Week features the Detroit Lions visiting Jerry World.

The Lions are suddenly in a fight for the NFC North with Minnesota. (The 5-0 Vikings are also on the bye.) The Cowboys are in a fight for survival. The Steelers and Raiders meet in a throwback classic in Las Vegas. Where’s Franco Harris when you need him?

Week 6 begins with an NFC West showdown on Thursday night as the San Francisco 49ers head up the Pacific Coast to visit Seattle.

Someone in the NBC NFL scheduling department might be out of a job after picking this doozy between the Bengals and Giants. Just another reason why you shouldn’t take drugs at work.

Monday night, we return to the single-headers. The Bills face Aaron Rodgers and the Jets at MetLife Stadium.

NFL Week 6 Picks, Betting Predictions & Best Bets To Back 1

Thursday, October 10
49ers at Seahawks, 8:15 p.m. (Prime Video)

Buzz: Buzz: Both teams limp into this short-week NFC West showdown. Upsets were on the menu for the Seahawks, who somehow lost to the Giants despite running back a fumble 102 yards. And the Niners, who blew a 10-point lead in the 4th quarter in a 24-23 loss to the Cardinals. The 49ers have won 3 straight against Seattle. Both defenses will keep this one close. And low scoring.

Best Bet: Under 47 Points (-110) at bet365

Sunday, October 13
Jaguars vs. Bears (London), 9:30 p.m. (NFL Network)

Buzz: The early line on this game had the Bears at 1-point underdogs. The Jaguars got their first win of the season Sunday despite the best efforts of 39-year-old Joe Flacco. The Jaguars won’t be ready for the Bears' defense. Never mind the quickly rising star that is Caleb Williams. The Bears are in the early running for an NFC wildcard. We grabbed this one last week when the Bears ML was -108.

Best Bet: Bears -1 (-110) at bet365

Cardinals at Packers, 1 p.m. (FOX)

Buzz: Both teams are coming off big wins in Cali. The Cardinals upended the 49ers in Santa Clara, wiping out a 10-point deficit in the 4th quarter. The Packers stopped the Rams at Lambeau West in Englewood. We've got Jordan Love, Kyler Murray, Marvin Harrison Jr. Lots of points. Right? Not so fast. This number has moved up from 48.5 to 50. The under is the play here.

Best Bet: Under 50 Points (-110) at bet365

Colts at Titans, 1 p.m. (CBS)

Buzz: Two AFC South teams headed to the bottom of Cumberland River, along with that goalpost from Vanderbilt. The Colts are taking it slow with the ailing Anthony Richardson, sitting him in their loss at Jacksonville. At least Joltin’ Joe Flacco can still sling it. The Titans are still trying to get Will Levis to throw the ball in the right direction.

Best Bet: Colts ML (-105) at bet365

Texans at Patriots, 1 p.m. (CBS)

Buzz: The Patriots are coming to their worst loss in the post-Tom Brady era. If not the pre-Tom Brady. This season is on its way to equate with some of the worst in team history. The Texans are rolling to another AFC South title and flexed hard in Week 5 holding off a furious Buffalo comeback. We got the under at 41.5 points before it tightened to 38.5. Otherwise, take the Texans to cover at -7, but not higher.

Best Bet: Texans -7 (-110) at bet365

Buccaneers at Saints, 1 p.m. (FOX)

Buzz: The Buccaneers complete back-to-back road games against their top 2 competitors in the NFC South with their annual visit to the Crescent City. They're coming off a disastrous loss at Atlanta. Tampa Bay's defense was shredded by Kirk Cousins. Derek Carr has got to be revved up watching that film. These NFC South intra-conference games are always tight. The last team with the ball wins.

Best Bet: Buccaneers +2.5 (-120) at bet365

Browns at Eagles, 1 p.m. (FOX)

Buzz: Nick Sirianni keeps his job for another week. Unless he loses to the Browns. Then all options are open. The Commanders walloped Cleveland 34-13 Week 5. The Eagles need a bigger win here. The margin of victory against common opponents is a playoff tie breaker – and the NFC East is up for grabs.

Best Bet: Eagles -9 (-112) at bet365

Washington at Baltimore, 1 p.m. (CBS)

Buzz: Commanders QB Jayden Daniels is running away with Offensive Rookie Of The Year honors. The Bengals gave Washington plenty of game-film on how to throw against the Ravens' defense. But Baltimore completed its own second-half 10-point comeback before winning 41-38 in OT over the Bengals on Sunday The Ravens are back on their flight plan to get to the AFC title game. Their defense will be too much for this red-hot rookie QB.

Best Bet: Ravens -6.5 (-115) at bet365

Chargers at Broncos, 4:05 p.m. (CBS)

Buzz: The Broncos’ defense has given Bo Nix a nice cushion, hiding just how not good he’s been this season. Nix finally earned a win – at least in part – on Sunday in a rout of the Raiders. The Broncos (3-2 SU, 4-1 ATS) are getting no respect from oddsmakers this season. Getting points at home is a nice value here. The Chargers are coming off a bye and a loss to the Chiefs.

Best Bet: Broncos +2.5 (-110) at bet365

Steelers at Raiders, 4:05 p.m. (CBS)

Buzz: The “Immaculate Reception” meets “Cirque du Soleil.” Rest in peace, Franco.

Best Bet: Under 44 Points (-112) at bet365

Lions at Cowboys, 4:25 p.m. (FOX)

Buzz: The Doomsday Clock in Dallas moves another inch closer to midnight with another loss on national TV at Jerry World. Can the Cowboys keep Mike McCarthy off the unemployment line? Tom Brady will be on hand to watch the drama. The Lions have lost 5 straight in Dallas. This week, they get the win and the short cover.

Best Bet: Lions -3 (-110) at bet365

Falcons at Panthers, 4:25 p.m. (FOX)

Buzz: The Panthers are still obligated to play 17 times each season. You are not contractually obligated to watch. The Falcons win this on special teams alone. We hopped on ATL when it was -3. It has since grown to 4.5 points.

Best Bet: Falcons -3 (-108) at bet365

Bengals at Giants, 8:25 p.m. (NBC)

Buzz: Someone in the NBC Sunday Night Football scheduling department must have hit the wrong button. The Giants beat the Seahawks in Week 5, thanks in part to a blocked field goal. That came after New York allowed a TD on a 102-yard fumble return. The Bengals blew a 10-point lead at home before losing to the Ravens at home. Nothing but the best on Sunday night.

Best Bet: Under 46.5 Points (-110) at bet365

Monday, October 14
Bills at Jets, 8:15 p.m. (FOX)

Buzz: The good news is that we’re back to just one Monday night game this week. The bad news, it features the Jets. We laid the hammer on Buffalo at -1.5 in the early line. The Jets are in the midst of another tailspin. The Bills came up just short at Houston. This one should be a bit less stressful for Buffalo. Especially with the MetLife night crowd venting 55 years of pain and unfulfilled promises from the opening kickoff.

Best Bet: Bills -2.5 (-110) at bet365
