Joe Burrow Top 5 Prop Bets To Back & Odds For Super Bowl 2022

Bill Speros | 11 mins

Cincinnati QB Joe Burrow lit up the NFL during his sophomore season in leading the long-shot Cincinnati Bengals to their first Super Bowl in 33 years. What NFL odds should bettors back when looking at Burrow's top props Sunday as the Cincinnati Bengals and LA Rams meet at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California?
Burrow joins a group of 20-something QBs who can become the face of the league following the retirement of Tom Brady. Burrow isn’t letting the pressure of future or current expectations affect his game. Burrow drove the Bengals to Super Bowl 56, overcoming +6500 odds before the season at DraftKings to win the AFC.

Burrow remained as cool as the Arctic Circle despite the fire and fury of the playoffs after the Bengals won the AFC North. Burrow and the Bengals (13-7) nabbed the franchise’s first postseason win in 31 years with a victory in the Wild Card Round at home over the Raiders. The Bengals beat the No. 1 and No. 2 seeds in the AFC on the road to reach the NFL title game. Both of those wins (over Tennessee and Kansas City) came via field goals on the game’s final play.
QB Hits Remain Concern For Bengals
Cincinnati beat No. 1-seed Tennessee in Nashville 19-16 with a last-second field goal in regulation. The Titans pressured Burrow throughout that game and sacked him an NFL-playoff record nine times. But Burrow took that beating and kept on ticking. He completed 28 of 37 pass attempts for 348 yards and just one pick. The Bengals trailed Kansas City 21-3 in the AFC title game before nabbing a 27-24 victory in overtime.
Hits have been a concern since the Bengals took Burrow with the No. 1 overall pick in the 2020 draft. Burrow’s rookie run came to halt in Week 10 in 2021 when he suffered a season-ending torn ACL and MCL in a loss to Washington.
The Rams defense will be geared toward putting pressure on Burrow, knocking him down a lot and forcing the Bengals to try and play catch-up.

Joe Burrow, Under 276.5 Yards Passing
Odds: -110 at FanDuel ➜
BUZZ: This number won’t keep the public from backing the over en-masse given the pregame hype about Burrow’s Big Arm and Big-Strike ability. Burrow has averaged above this total in the regular season (295.6 YPG) and the postseason (290.0 YPG). But be warned, Burrow has gone under this number in 2 of his 3 postseason games thus far. And the Rams are holding opposing QBs to just 220.7 YPG this season.

Joe Burrow, Over 1.5 TD Passes
Odds: -160 at BetMGM ➜
BUZZ: This price is high, but the number is too low. You might want to bid up this total to over 2.5 to get a better return. Including the regular season, Burrow has gone over this number in 3 out of his past 4 games. The Bengals won’t be able to run the ball inside the 10 so look for Burrow to get the ball into the End Zone via the air.

Joe Burrow, Under 24.5 Completions
Odds: -108 at FanDuel ➜
BUZZ: Burrow has finished below this number 11 times this season, including in 2 of his 3 postseason games. Again, the Rams defense will be geared up to pressure Burrow. The Titans were able to get to Burrow for nine sacks. You should see a similar number Sunday. It’s hard to complete passes while you’re lying on your back.
Joe Burrow, Over 36.5 Attempts
Odds: -105 at Caesars Sportsbook ➜
BUZZ: There is some disparity in the pricing in this market. Some books are charging under bettors a premium. So shop around. Burrow has attempted 37, 34 and 38 passes in his 3 playoff games. He’s sitting right on this number. We’re leaning toward the over both because of the value on this number and the fact that the Bengals could be playing catchup and Burrow might be slinging it down the stretch.

Joe Burrow, Over 0.5 Interceptions
Odds: -125 at Caesars Sportsbook ➜
BUZZ: No amount of cool is going to prevent Burrow from being forced into errant passes against the Rams. Burrow had a stretch of five straight games without a pick that ended in the Divisional Round against Tennessee. This isn’t as much a knock against Burrow as it is a tip to the Rams’ defense, which has 19 interceptions in 20 games, averaging 0.95 per game.
