DraftKings is the latest sports betting and daily fantasy sports partner of the Baltimore Ravens.

The team and gaming company announced their deal on Wednesday. It’s the first partnership for DraftKings Sportsbook in the state of Maryland. It’s also DraftKings’ fifth agreement with an NFL team.

“With the start of the 2021 NFL season upon us, our latest designation with the Baltimore Ravens further exemplifies our commitment to fan engagement by way of the DraftKings experience,” Ezra Kucharz, DraftKings’ Chief Business Officer, said in a media release.

“The newly penned relationship offers something for every kind of sports fan and will allow them to engage with DraftKings’ digital content, free-to-play product, daily fantasy sports and, perhaps soon, sports betting, to ultimately bring them closer to the action alongside one of the top teams from the AFC North.”

Deal Details

As part of the NFL betting deal, DraftKings branding and custom content will be featured on the Ravens’ weekly podcast, “The Lounge.”

DraftKings will also become the title sponsor of Baltimore WBAL-1090 News Radio’s Gameday Insider pregame show and a presenting sponsor of the Ravens Wired video online content series, in addition to being featured on homepage takeovers at BaltimoreRavens.com ahead of select games and events.

“This partnership reflects our continued commitment to delivering unique engagement experiences for our fans,” said Ravens Chief Sales Officer Kevin Rochlitz. “We’re proud to collaborate with an industry leader in DraftKings, and we look forward to seeing the innovative ways in which we’ll better connect with the Ravens fans across our many platforms.”

DraftKings branding will be visible throughout M&T Bank Stadium and the gaming company will have its own season-long suite. New deals offering unique gameday experiences, including away game trips, autographed merchandise, and a Punt, Pass & Kick event will all be available to DraftKings players through in-season daily fantasy and sportsbook contests.

In this week’s NFL odds for Week 2 of the Preseason, the Ravens are a consensus -3.5 point favorite Saturday against Carolina. They are a good NFL futures pick for the Super Bowl. DraftKings has them at +1400, and they're available at a similar price at other sportsbooks and betting apps.

Second Deal for Ravens

The DraftKings agreement is the second sports betting deal for the Ravens. In May, the team announced a partnership with BetMGM a day after Maryland Gov. Larry Hogan signed HB 940, establishing legal sports betting in the state.

Similar to DraftKings, BetMGM will have a presence inside M&T Bank Stadium and across the team’s digital and social media platforms. BetMGM’s deal also includes a hospitality suite inside the stadium.

“When we began the process of carefully identifying partners in the field of sports betting and digital gaming, one of our top priorities was finding unique ways for Ravens fans to further engage with the team,” Rochlitz said in a media release. "We are excited to partner with BetMGM and look forward to the specialized entertainment experience the company will provide for our fans."

NFL League Official Deals

Both DraftKings and BetMGM are on the list of the NFL’s official sports betting partners. In April, DraftKings was part of a trio that signed five-year deals with the league. FanDuel and Caesars were the other two sportsbooks to reach agreements with the NFL.

On Aug. 12, it was reported by Sportico that BetMGM, PointsBet, WynnBET and FOX Bet were the latest group to join the NFL’s list of authorized gambling operators.

According to the report, the latest round of deals is focused on data acquisition and advertising. The companies are committing to buy official league data from NFL partner, Genius Sports, and will also gain the rights to advertise on TV around NFL games.
