Tip 1 - 2:02 Wetherby - Biglesisback

She pulled up last time out, but this race is half a mile shorter so she shouldn’t have any lingering issues from that, which should enable her to be in mix at the very end once again.

Tip 2 - 2:20 Exeter - Special John
After two good wins over fences, Special John failed to complete the hat-trick last time out when his stamina gave out attempting to run over a marathon trip for the first time. He’s back in here over a trip he is much more comfortable with and interestingly he is sent back over hurdles. That means he is off a mark 10lb lower than he would be over fences. Considering it was only his stamina that gave out last time, this looks like an interesting bit of placing.

Tip 3 - 3:30 Exeter - Sherbourne
The experienced Sherbourne has had a consistent season without getting his head in front. He’s not finished outside the top four from five attempts, but no win means his mark is back down to an appealing number. He’s five pounds lighter than for his last win in April last year at 108. When last seen over course and distance, he beat today’s favourite by over three lengths. His mark of 109 that day was three pounds higher than Bonza Boy, and they race today on a level mark. Has a first and second over course and distance from two races. He should go well.

What is the Staking Plan and How Does a 1pt Win System Work?
We advise each bet as a win single or sometimes as an each way single. You can of course choose to combine the selections in a multiple bet, a Lucky 15 or a Yankee etc and that is a very popular way to follow the horses selected in this column daily.
A 1pt win per horse is advised in general and that means whatever your normal stake is for a bet is used as a point. For many this is £1 and for some this is £10 or more but it is totally relative to the individual and shouldn’t be more than you can afford to lose at any time.
For each way selections we advise a 0.5pt each way stake. So as with the win selections this would be a £1 total bet (50 pence each way) or a £10 total bet (£5 each way).
