Tip 1 - 2.32 Dundalk – Sayonara
Sayonara impressed on debut over course and distance last month, finishing third at 22/1 behind the 2/5 favourite and 9/2 third-favourite, giving reason to believe he can go even better today. His follow-up attempt over 6f wasn’t much to shout about but it did give him some valuable experience if nothing else and that could be key in this maiden affair.

Tip 2 - 3:32 Dundalk - Macadam’s Rock
Four wins from 41 races and finishing last and second last in previous two outings doesn’t inspire too much confidence in Macadam’s Rock. But all of those wins have been over course and distance. Three of them have come when running off a mark of 60, which he is off today. Indeed, he has only competed five times in his career from a mark as low as 60, with four of them over course and distance. That record reads 1121. Never really travelled on reappearance in November, but if in the same form as the spring should really go close.

Tip 3 - 4:02 Dundalk - Inishfallen
Inishfallen hasn’t won for a while now, but that might not entirely be his fault. He was running towards the front in graded races early in his career which put him on a lofty mark of 102 after six career runs. He’s now down to a more manageable 83 after being dropped another 3lb for his last run. He could be ready to pounce now, considering he once finished a neck second in a Grade 2 the ability is there to win off this rating.

Tip 4 - 5:02 Dundalk - Qamari
As you’d expect at this time of the year at Dundalk, this is an incredibly weak-looking maiden. It looks to rest between the three at the top of the betting, who combine for 19 career starts without a win. At the prices, preference is for John McConnell’s Qamari. She was third over course and distance earlier this month, losing out by a length. That’s among the best form on offer here and she should run her race.

What is the Staking Plan and How Does a 1pt Win System Work?
We advise each bet as a win single or sometimes as an each way single. You can of course choose to combine the selections in a multiple bet, a Lucky 15 or a Yankee etc and that is a very popular way to follow the horses selected in this column daily.
A 1pt win per horse is advised in general and that means whatever your normal stake is for a bet is used as a point. For many this is £1 and for some this is £10 or more but it is totally relative to the individual and shouldn’t be more than you can afford to lose at any time.
For each way selections we advise a 0.5pt each way stake. So as with the win selections this would be a £1 total bet (50 pence each way) or a £10 total bet (£5 each way).
