Our Horse Racing Tips Staking Plan

Each selection we advised is a bet of £10 win single per horse. This is unless it is otherwise stated that is should be a £5 each way bet.

Do be aware that betting on horse racing is difficult to win consistently. Previous performance is no guarantee of future success, and you should only bet with what you can afford to lose.

Horse Racing Betting Tips

Tip 1 - 1:31 Leicester - Eyes Front

Eyes Front finally got his first win under his belt in July with a solid victory at Epsom and has gone close to repeating the feat since, finishing within three lengths of the winner in each of his three outings following that. A couple of those runs were at a grade higher than today, and his rating is just 1lb higher than for his win, plus Harry Vigors claims 3lbs back.

Tip 2 - 1:56 Huntingdon - The Wise Traveller

Got back to winning ways for the first time since September last year with a course-and-distance victory in May. That was a fourth career CD win, and he returns to a stomping ground he loves after a break. Has won fresh before and was only upped two pounds for his success last time out. That mark of 93 has been won off before, as has 97. The fact claimer James Gambin takes off seven and has won three times on board him is a big plus.

Tip 3 - 3:16 Leicester - Endegi

Considering she fluffed the start, Endegi did well to finish in third place on debut, and as the race had gone she was left to come home in her own time. The well-backed winner looked like a good yardstick, so as long as there isn’t something else with real promise lurking in this field, she could get off the mark at the second attempt.

Tip 4 - 3:30 Galway - Road To Home

This trip should be plenty sharp enough for Road To Home, whose last run was a placed effort in the bet365 Gold Cup at Sandown over 3m4f. He’s got plenty of chasing experience under his belt, with his six starts resulting in five placed finishes. Connections may well decide to make this a proper test given his assured staying and jumping ability. He could put his less experienced rivals to the sword if given a forceful ride.

What is the Staking Plan and How Does a 1pt Win System Work?

We advise each bet as a win single or sometimes as an each way single. You can of course choose to combine the selections in a multiple bet, a Lucky 15 or a Yankee etc and that is a very popular way to follow the horses selected in this column daily.

A 1pt win per horse is advised in general and that means whatever your normal stake is for a bet is used as a point. For many this is £1 and for some this is £10 or more but it is totally relative to the individual and shouldn’t be more than you can afford to lose at any time.

For each way selections we advise a 0.5pt each way stake. So as with the win selections this would be a £1 total bet (50 pence each way) or a £10 total bet (£5 each way).

Where Can I Watch the Daily Horse Racing Selections Run?

The best place is always on the racecourse but that’s not very practical so when it’s not on terrestrial TV with the likes of Sky Sports Racing and ITV (or ITV 4) then the best way to get instant access to live pictures is with a live streaming bookmaker – try these three below for the best of the bunch. We've also got a page specifically dedicated to Cheltenham Festival live streaming.
