2025 Carolina Panthers NFL Draft Odds: Who Will They Choose For No. 8 Pick?

Although the Carolina Panthers finished the 2024 NFL season with a 5-12 record, they won three more games than the previous season under new head coach Dave Canales. Still, it was another playoff-less year for the Panthers, and the team will want to improve and make a push for the postseason in 2025.

Starting quarterback Bryce Young needs to show more this season, no question, and this could be a make-or-break year for the former No. 1 overall pick. But another way the Panthers can see their squad improve is through the draft, and the team has the opportunity to draft a nice prospect with the No. 8 overall pick.

Ever since trading Brian Burns last season, the Panthers have needed to replace him on the edge, and Jalon Walker of Georgia would make a nice pick for the team as they look for help on the line.

Nick Emmanwori, S, South Carolina (+500)

If the Panthers elect to strengthen their defensive backs instead of their defensive line, then picking Nick Emmanwori of South Carolina would be a solid choice.

Tetairoa McMillan, WR, Arizona (+650)

The Panthers also need help at wide receiver, and Arizona’s Tetairoa McMillan would certainly help the team as they look for more offensive weapons for HC Dave Canales and QB Bryce Young.

Mykel Williams, Edge, Georgia (+750)

Again, edge is a position of need for the Panthers, and Mykel Williams of Georgia can help them out there.

Another possible wide receiver prospect the Panthers could take is Matthew Golden of Texas if the team prioritizes offense over defense in the draft.
