LeBron James has his sidekick with the Los Angeles Lakers, the Los Angeles Clippers had a historic summer, Russ and The Beard teamed up in Houston and the Golden State Warriors still loom. No one knows who will win the West, but one thing’s for sure: It’s going to be an all-out war.

Click on each team in the rankings to get a complete betting guide, including a top player prop bet, for that team’s 2019-20 campaign. Odds listed from 888sport are to win the conference. You can check out the Eastern Conference Betting Power Rankings here.

1. Los Angeles Lakers (+425)

LeBron James and Anthony Davis are the league’s best duo. And the supporting cast is exactly what James-led title teams look like. They’re the league’s best team on paper.

2. LA Clippers (+325)

Kawhi Leonard and Paul George join a team that already looked like it could compete in the West. They’re built for the postseason, and Doc Rivers knows how to win in June.

3. Houston Rockets (+800)

Chris Paul didn’t work as a James Harden sidekick, so now they’re trying out Russell Westbrook. They’re a dominant regular-season team, but the playoffs have been kryptonite.

4. Golden State Warriors (+1400)

The schedule is backloaded for when Klay Thompson returns, and Steph Curry, Draymond Green and D’Angelo Russell are a heckuva three-headed monster as is. They’re not a dynasty team anymore, but they’re still relevant.

5. Denver Nuggets (+2000)

They made the jump from good to great last season. Behind Nikola Jokic, Jamal Murray and an outstanding supporting cast, they have a chance to go from great to elite this season.

6. Utah Jazz (+1400)

Adding Mike Conley to a 50-win team makes the Jazz a contender in the West. If their offense ever catches up with their defense, they could be playing late into May or June.

7. Portland Trail Blazers (+3600)

Damian Lillard and C.J. McCollum took the Blazers to the West Finals last season. Can lightning strike twice for a team that has always been teetering on the brink of contention?

8. San Antonio Spurs (+6600)

DeMar DeRozan and LaMarcus Aldridge will keep them competitive, and their young guards make for a bright future. But the championship window has closed, and the 22-year playoff streak is in jeopardy, too.

9. Dallas Mavericks (+6600)

Luka Doncic and Kristaps Porzingis are a dynamic 1-2 punch, and their role players fit perfectly. Rick Carlisle could have himself a playoff team in Year 1 of the post-Dirk era.

10. New Orleans Pelicans (+6000)

Zion Williamson is the next big star, while a strong supporting cast could actually have them in better position than before they traded Anthony Davis. The playoffs are a realistic goal.

11. Sacramento Kings (+15000)

They were on a postseason pace until a late-season fizzle last year. Their core is young, talented and only getting better. It wouldn’t be a surprise if they crashed the West playoff party.

12. Minnesota Timberwolves (+15000)

It’s Karl-Anthony Towns and a whole lot of question marks for the Wolves, who won’t be sniffing the postseason unless their star center turns in an historic campaign.

13. Oklahoma City Thunder (+20000)

Their championship window closed this offseason, but they’re still a talented group with Chris Paul, Danilo Gallinari, Steven Adams and a couple young up-and-comers.

14. Memphis Grizzlies (+50000)

The future is bright with Ja Morant and Jaren Jackson Jr. They’re the faces of the franchise, and now the key is finding the right role players to surround them with.

15. Phoenix Suns (+50000)

This franchise is a mess. They have Devin Booker, Deandre Ayton and a couple potential role players. Past that, it’s anyone’s guess figuring out where they’re headed. Another NBA Lottery season looms.
